Let me tell you, being hearing impaired is why I appreciate subtitles, but when people were talking about subtitles being different than the actual dialogue, I had to crank up that volume to hear it. It was great too, and then good ol Robbie Rotten happened. That music blew my eardrums to bits and all I could think was “what a way to go, hell yeah”. There is no greater way to lose your hearing than the great villain of lazy town
Honestly animations are junk, and the game is kinda crunchy. But it doesn’t look that bad.
I love how Ray just refuses to acknowledge that the objective door is circled on the map.

Edit: When Ray brought up 'theory', I was thinking of the one arguing in favor of Dead Aim being canon. The reason it's brought up is because it was potentially the big thing that lead to Umbrella going down. The ship was supposed to pull in a lot of big wigs wanting to auction off viruses and BOWs to interested buyers/arms dealers. With all of them becoming infected, all that money was lost

Gonna have to disagree with you on this one Ray. Survivor is an objectively better game in all areas except some of the QoL that Dead Aim had. Dead Aim character models are worse for the context this game is in, the voice acting is bland bad instead of funny bad like Survivor, the subtitles are atrociously off and we didn't even get the benefit of amazing lines like "the phone hang up". The story was generic and boring while Survivor had some weird what the fuck moments and there was no boss that took 5 years and an entire military base's worth of bullets to beat with insta kill mechanics.
Survivor also gets a bit of leniency because it was their first attempt at something like this and they at least made it interesting by having split/alternate paths so replays had some value. Dead Aim is their 4th attempt so there is no excuse at this point. Survivor isn't a good game by any stretch but it has enough weirdness and jank to it that it is charming in its ineptitude. Dead Aim is just awful and the slight improvements to the gameplay do not make up for all its other shortcomings compared to its progenitor.
Shout out to all us kids who went to high school in the late 2000s / early 2010s who knew of and, indeed, lost the game

90% of the time that subtitles don't match its the voice actors not the subtitle thats "wrong" with this games who knows probably both don't match the script.

I'm not saying this game is good by any means. But it terms of ambiance and setting it's probably the most spooky by all resident evil game . It's just something about those old PS2 graphics that's can't be recreated.

Don't know if you knew this but reason why mouse looks good to play is because this game was designed to be used with the gun con light gun (orange model because it had the d pad on back of gun) in pov the lightgun is used to shoot and dpad moves it's fun using a lightgun, also don't remember the rifle being so epileptic but then again I wasn't playing on a PC/emulator i was using PS2 on a old tvand it been ages since I've touched that game

i think the subtitle issue is like when you watch something dubbed with subs as well – the subs are translating the original language, not writing the english dialogue.

Subtitles not matching spoken dialogue is a major peeve. Very much a "you had one job" scenario.
At one point Ray looks at a poster and shouts “IS THAT A NAKED WOMAN?!” And the rest of the playthrough is fine. Guess what Ray shouted while I was at work behind the front desk of a hotel
The absolute best thing I learned about this game is it's japanese name, it's so over the top,

I think what happened with the subtitles is that they are a direct/more faithful translation of the Japanese text while the voice lines were given a looser translation to make them sound better in English and the subtitler was never told about this.
