3. I live in Missouri a part of Tornado Alley. I love a good thunderstorm, I sit outside and watch. This is one of my favorite movies, I watch it every year! We do take precautions don't worry. One of the worst in Missouri was in Joplin in 2011, I went to help with cleanup and it was the largest path of damage I had ever seen in my life. Tornadoes are unpredictable.

4. There is a 4 Screen Drive-In Theatre near me and they had this movie playing at that time and one of the other screens got hit by a Tornado

7. Bill Paxton. One of the best. A punk in original Terminator. Hudson in Aliens, the fake spy in True Lies, Robert Ballard in Titanic. Vertical Limit, Edge of Tomorrow. He and James Cameron went down to Titanic. It is in the film "Ghost of the Abyss" I will highly recommend it.

9. Bill Paxton was in aliens, Terminator and Predator 2, only him and Lance Henriksen are the only actors to be killed by the BIG 3 Scifi monsters.

15. I've watched Saving Private Ryan and Twister more times than I can count, since they were released in theaters, but I did not know that that was the same actor. Cassie is good at that.

16. Ok I’ll share lol
    My dad and I were almost blown off the highway by a huge tornado. We stopped and took cover next to a building on the outskirts of Dodge city Kansas. The tornado crossed the road and hit a train just ahead of where we parked. It was completely destroyed but the wooden boxcars were completely turned into billions of toothpicks. It even tore up the tracks and twisted them like pretzels. Friggin awesome! 😂 I wanted to chase tornados after that! 😂 and I loved this movie.

18. This movie had so many good names between the supporting roles and the main roles. Rip Paxton and Hoffman

    Also, this is 3 years before the most powerful EF5 rated tornado decimated parts of Oklahoma in 1999. The Moore City, OK EF5 tornado was easily one of the strongest tornadoes recorded at the time. The question Melissa asks at Meg’s dinner table about an EF5 was a silencer because it was still such a new concept. There had only been a handful of EF5 tornados ever recorded when this film was made.

25. I grew up in tornado alley and while this movie is awesome the ending scene is ridiculous. There is no way you can run around in the debris field of an F-5 tornado.

26. i live in Oklahoma City and you just get used to tornado sirens and kind of pay attention to the weather and usually get worried if its within a few miles of you. Ive been actually in 1 tornado that went on top of where I was and man – it is so hard to explain what the sound was like but it was quite surreal. Lucky when it started on top of where I was it was pretty weak since they usually aren't too strong when they first start and then they just get bigger and stronger the more it moves on.

30. Yes cows have been known to have been caught up in the twisters. They unfortunately were found impaled in trees and in some instance cut in half by the winds.
