TWIN TORNADOES in Oklahoma! This storm produced multiple twins over about an hour.

This was the last mega high risk day on the Plains that spanned multiple states! Over 150 tornadoes raked across the Plains from Iowa to Oklahoma. We chased the far southern end of this outbreak on the dryline in Southern Kansas and Northern Oklahoma. Our strategy was solid throughout the entire chase: be on the best looking storm in our sector by the early evening hours when the low-level winds were set to become extremely strong.

It was a lot of work as we stepped down from supercell to supercell throughout the day — but we finally ended up on this monster cell near Cherokee, Oklahoma that produced multiple tornadoes, including multiple sets of twin tornadoes! #weather #nature #tornado #twister #twintornadoes #twotornadoes #Oklahoma #severeweather #science
