It's too bad you haven't watched many slashers, because this movie is an absolutely HILARIOUS satire of backwoods slashers – the strange rednecks in the woods are usually portents of doom, here it's the exact opposite, just misunderstood doofuses.
Not sure that you noticed, but Eli Craig, the director of this movie, also directed "Zombieland". How about that 🙂

Its not Jack Black but thats okay. Jack Black is however in King Kong, the 2005 version from Peter Jackson.
Mixing alcohol and drugs is the real horror.

If you're up for another horror comedy (one a lot less gory but a bit more scary), Housebound (2014, from New Zealand) is an absolutely amazing gem, which manages to be both hilarious and spooky. Would love to see your reaction to it!

One of the best horror comedies ever produced. Dale was just a big old teddy bear. I always thought that Chad was never found so they could make a sequel. Probably better that they haven't though because they'd find some way to ruin it.

I love the fact that the stereotypical horror teenagers can't act and have cheesy lines while Tucker, Dale, and Allison are great actors and are well written.
"You're half HillBilly!" As a MountainWilliam, I loved that line and this whole movie!
