Trying something NEW – Did I need to ?

#christmascrafting #AirDryClay #AirDryClayChristmas
Heyyyy lovelies, in today’s video I am trying something new with the DAS Air Dry Clay and I am using the gorgeous Gingerbread mould from Molds and Shapes. You do not need to have this mould in order to create these. Air Dry Clay is a fun non-toxic craft that is simple and relaxing. Grab some Air Dry Clay, grab some snacks and a drink and relax to your favourite Christmas music.

  1. I think a realistic gingerbread man looks a little wonky (at least, the ones I bake, do), and for a project like this, it adds to the charm. I love these. I've been thinking about making gingerbread decorations with ecoresin, but I'd want the baked look, not sharp edges. I may need to make my own molds – by the looks of it, for next year.

  2. Hi Claire, I LOVE your videos, you always make me smile and I feel so much happier for watching your great creations. You're an inspiration girl. I LOVE your gingerbread men. I recently bought some white air-dry DAS clay and am going to make gingerbread men tomorrow. I will paint them ginger once they're dry. Yours look beautiful on your tree. Take care and have a lovely Sunday, xx❤❤😊😊

  3. Hiii! I came across your videos a couple of months ago and don’t really do resin, but stayed just because of how cheery and enthusiastic you are 😊 Not sure whether anyone has mentioned (apologies if so!), but if you stick your moulded clay in the freezer for 10-15 minutes, it’s much easier to demould. Just don’t accidentally leave it overnight 😅.

Ooops! Just watched further and editing Claire has discovered that already. Ignore me!

  4. Oh Claire they are adorable and you had me laughing out loud and scaring my family. Hehehe. I get much more interest in my less than perfect art pieces. I spent most of my life being much too harsh of a critic of myself and my art. Until I realized when I was obsessing about making things perfect, I lost my joy in creating.

  5. Firstly, to All the non-resin crafters, I get it. I have about as much different arts&crafts supplies, including resin. Because I thought I could do Everything… 😅… So, it’s awesome to know there’s many here who are not resin makers. There’s so many different kinds of crafts!
Secondly, I go 😠 with air dry clay. I still have a lot of frustration using it. I do believe DAS is a great brand. You truly need be patient, and think through what your goal is before you start; get all your materials ready first.
Thirdly, I sometimes if using a mold, will stuff the clay in, roll it on the bottom. Put it in fridge for about 15-20 minutes, and pop them out. You can use your oven in a small heat setting; look at directions on the clay your purchased. You can sand them, paint, etc….
***Claire you remain a wonderful creative creator YouTube channel has. ❤

  6. I'm one of those who really has no desire to do resin nor the mind capacity since my attention span is that of a goldfish 😂 i just enjoy your videos. The creativity and your personality just drew me in ❤ Always look forward to your uploads on both your channels 😊

  7. An absolute disaster. I would never make those, with that clay. You never showed if it is a better outcome if you freeze the clay in the mould before removing them. I also wonder if it would be better to let them dry in the mould. Regardless, this is just horrid.

  8. I feel like recently every video you put out is just for incentive! It doesn’t seem like you try very hard Claire!
Just whip something together to put out a video and make money off of a hot mess project. And I get you saying it’s good enough for you, for your tree but just slapping something together that’s been given/gifted to you by companies or other YouTubers most of time is a disrespectful! It seems like your heart isn’t in this anymore but your pocketbook is! Just my opinion.
