  1. Alex, I'mma learn you some Fallout lore today:

So the timeline for Fallout diverged from ours around the '50's, where instead of miniaturizing electronics and developing green technologies, we focused on nuclear tech, creating miniature fission reactors and huge vacuum tube supercomputers, enhanced cybernetics, and robotic tech. the 1950's aesthetic as of 2077 (when the bombs dropped) was kind of a retro-futuristic sort of fad that was going on at the time, as it is documented in the games that Pretty Hate Machine and other 80's/90's era things did exist, but were out of vogue by this time.

China was the dominant antagonist superpower to America, not Russia, and constant tensions between the two fuelled a nuclear arms race much like it did in our world, but the paranoid fear of Communism was more pronounced here, sort of like if the Red Scare just became an enduring facet of society instead of just a fading memory when the USSR fell. The European Commonwealth was analogous to the EU, and Canada ended up breaking off from the UK as a commonwealth at some point too.

About 2052 is when world petroleum reserves began to run out, and oil wells began going dry. The Resource Wars began, with the European Commonwealth invading the Middle East for their oil, but after 8 years their wells dried up too, so the Commonwealth withdrew, and then devolved into infighting and the European Civil War began. Tensions between China and America flared, and the Sino-American war began in 2060. The US had already invaded Mexico for it's oil, and car manufacturers were desperately trying to switch over to nuclear tech as gas engines were no longer viable with no fuel. Vault-Tec corporation had been established in 2054 and won the contract for the government project Safehouse, to prepare for a potential nuclear war with China.

In 2066, China invaded Alaska, and Power Armor units were the mainstay of the US forces, while the Chinese relied heavily on tanks. By 2076, the US had annexed Canada to bolster its failing economy and began pushing back, launching a counter-invasion of China, and then, just a year later… The Great War happened, the launch of China's nukes after being pressed up against the wall by the US military prompted our own nuclear response, and, well… you know the rest. 200 years later is when the events of most of the Fallout games take place.

As to the Vaults, they each had their own distinct directives, the only known ones to be connected to each other are the ones in the show: 31, 32, and 33.

Also, Ghouls are irradiated humans who didn't die, but rather mutated and adapted to the radiation, although their features are 'ghoulified' in the process. This gives them very long extended lifespans, and actually gives them increased strength and regeneration in the presence of radioactive material. They have no noses so they can eat food normies find disgusting (yes they still need to eat and drink), but their status makes them resistant to most drugs so they have to take copious amounts to get the same effect as humans do. Their enhanced physiology that is resistant to damage helps them in this as well. They also have to take that copious amount of drugs almost constantly in order to keep from turning feral (basically living zombies).

As far as the factions post-War (at least the ones you see in the show):

The Vault Dwellers are those who took shelter in the Vaults (built by Vault-Tec, the largest company in the world) across the country to escape the bombs, with the general plan to re-emerge once the fallout had reduced enough to be livable, and rebuild America.

The Enclave is a group that is patterned after the pre-War US Government, scaled down due to it's small size, with an elected President, and lots of researchers

The Brotherhood of Steel is a paramilitary organization founded by a former US Army officer after the Great War, focused on acquiring and utilizing pre-War tech, and regulating its usage to prevent another Apocalypse, as they believe the populace is not to be trusted with the means to destroy itself.

Raiders are simply random gangs that claim territory and rob others for the things they need to survive, much like medieval bandits and highwaymen, only with guns.

The New California Republic (NCR) was one of the greatest attempts at a return to 'normal' civilization, with over 700K population and a large standing army. It's capital was Shady Sands.

In other games like Fallout 3 and 4, there are towns and such that are an oasis of civilization in the Wasteland, like Rivet City and Megaton. The Commonwealth is a large populated area that occupies the former state of Massachusetts, but has no unifying government, instead having several large towns in and around Boston that sort of keep the peace in order to trade, but that's about it.

  2. Copper Howard (the Ghoul) is also who Vault tec modeled the fallout guy after which is why he hates it so much..lol also the beginning before the bombs fell is the future people in the 50's dreamed the future would be like.

  3. Ghouls are people that weren't killed by immense radiation exposure, instead they mutated to survive and their skin fell off, hence the lack of nose. Generally speaking they go feral, lose control and attack humans like zombies. In the show, they have this radioactive fluid that prolongs their sanity so that they can control themselves. In the game this isn't really the case, I think it's more like dark souls where if they have purpose they don't go feral, but it also kinda just seems random too.

Also, Maximus is a dumbass throughout the entire show, his life would be so much better if he stopped lying to everyone…. Can you imagine if he had just told the Brotherhood that Titus fell in battle? Things woulda been so much better and they might have promoted him to an acting knight as a right of passage.

Also I read the Ghoul not giving Lucy his water because it was probably irradiated, so it would have been really bad for her to drink, since Ghouls actually heal from radiation.

That’s because Vault-Tec basically used his colors for a mascot (Vault Boy) in what turned out to be sinister behind the curtain truths they intentionally hid from the world. That’s why Cooper has a hatred for Vault Tec, they used his colors, he found out the truth of what they were actually doing and what they wanted, and searched for Barb and his daughter for 219 years which I imagine won’t be a happy reunion of parents for their daughter.

  5. I watch this YouTuber named KatWatchesHorrorMovies and she looks like the girl version of you!
At least a little bit, and both your most recent thumbnails look similar from the facial expression, the pose, and the shirt color lol

  6. There's one thing I've seen a lot of people doing reactions miss, or at least didn't include in their YouTube edits. When maximus first wears the armor, then throws and kicks things super far its impressive. Then they fail to see why Knight Titus was so shocked after punching the Yao Guai (Bear) just minutes earlier and it barely did anything to it.

  7. The show is just bad, the visuals are amazing but the writing and the acting is ass I left towards the end of episode 1. But at least I’m gonna enjoy it with Alex.

Also, none on of the characters are likeable, I was really invested in the dad and the daughter in the beginning but that ended quick so, it just boring and I am mad lol

  10. Fun fact: The reason why drugs are called "Chems" is because in the UK version of the original Fallout game they censored the words "drugs" into the new name for them "Chems". IIRC!
