I once worked for a photographer , and he used gesso over a large portrait phot to make it look hand painted. He just used half swirls all over, but if you were really inspired, you could try brush strokes on parts of the picture at a time. It would REALLY look hand painted,

You think mod podge is watered down glue!
Pva is way way cheaper than mod podge and you think you can just add water to pva and bammmm!
You must know how full of $h!t this is, otherwise why would you ever buy mod podge again.
Ever noticed how mod podge completely sarounds tiny things entirely. Yet pva needs a fllowagent to ensure it penetrates and pva shrinks very slightly. Pva shrinks because Pva allows water to evaporate and the polly vinel remains and holds.
Mod podge is a molecular polymer doesn’t shrink unless you add heaps of water too it??????
If your going to make “hacks” about somet(ing ensure you have reasearched the product enough to understand how it works ect

I always wondered what mod podge was And now I can make it at home!!!! HA!!! 🤗🤗 I HAVE GOT A GREAT DIY FOR YOU!! So here is my story. I had purchased a faux leather purse but it was still $40 buck!! The faux leather has a beautiful flower decoration and I want to keep what's left of it bc eve though it cracked and peeling it looks great! Lol How can I do this!! Do you know of any type of fabric all weather spray glue or something that can help with that? I would send a pix but I don't know how through YouTube just so you can see what I'm talking about. I did homemade decoupage in the early 70s on because I had not heard of Mod Podge yet. I have a couple of tips. I spray the paper before I put it on with acrylic spray to set the ink. I put another coat of spray. Last a coat or 2 of polycrylic on sometimes. ELMERS recommends Elmer's Glue All instead of school glue. I just ordered a Gallon.
Use liquid starch on the burlap BEFORE you cut it. Soak, dry flat, you can press it a bit, and it cuts much better.
does chalk paint have to be dry before adding mod podge and image?
