Crooked believes that we need a better conversation about politics, culture, and the world around us—one that doesn’t just focus on what’s broken, but what we can do to fix it. At a time when it’s increasingly easy to feel cynical or hopeless, former Obama staffers Jon Favreau, Jon Lovett, and Tommy Vietor have created a place where people can have sane conversations that inform, entertain, and inspire action. In 2017 they started Crooked with Pod Save America—a no-bullshit conversation about politics. Since then, we continue to add shows, voices, and opportunities for activism, because it’s up to all of us to do our part to build a better world. That’s it. End of mission.

  1. But look who monopolised all the headlines and news reports that day. Trump has good reason to believe there is no such thing as bad publicity, he just says anything that enters his head (like Arnold Palmer’s penis) and he sucks out all the air for another day. Sadly this sort of thing would not work for progressives because they would lose all their support. Trump is a household word, even globally, and it makes me feel sick that so many fall for his shtick. As a boomer I grew up thinking everyone had learned the lessons of the wars and the world would slowly become a kinder, fairer place. Now it is rapidly becoming a world fit for only billionaires and tyrants. And just like in the 1930’s they do so with permission from (I hope not) the majority of diehards or don’t cares. The final straw for me was the Washington Post being neutered by Jeff Bezos. If Americans had held Trump to account, the European right would not be threatening Europe with all the same old. Putin rubbing his hands with glee at the prospect. Netanyahu too, but he needs to be careful to ensure his people are not next, this is a very old playbook.

  2. The Frump campaign has had a knack for taking on bottom of the bargain bin "talent" for their rally entertainment; Hogan, their weird musical numbers, this guy. I always forget who this comedian is, but every time i see a clip of his acts, he always seems like an amateur trying too hard to be clever and critical. Hard to beleive he was able to cobble up a show with his style. Fits right in with Crump's shitty vibe.

  3. Of course it doesn’t reflect the campaign because oh yeah, it was a freaking joke. The fact that the hosts are saying it was a bad idea to have Tony on forget that oh wait, they were jokes

  4. You know many Puerto Ricans that support Trump have come out and said they were not offended it was just a joke. They understand that comedians roast everybody, they're not trying to be politically correct. It's like people who go to a comedy show and then sit close to the front row and then they get roasted by the comedian and they get upset, it's nothing personal they're roasting everybody!

Is Trump's Puerto Rico supporters were not offended then no one else should be!
