Trump 'unlikely to open the aid tab' to Ukraine if elected

ANU Strategic and Defence Studies Centre’s Dr Matthew Sussex says Donald Trump is “unlikely to open the aid tab” to Ukraine if he is elected US president again.

“In fact [he’s] more than likely to turn it completely off,” Dr Sussex told Sky News Australia.

“So I think there is some scrambling being done in the Biden administration just to kind of shore up support for Ukraine for the moment until the bigger bill for funding Ukraine that they have comes to the floor of the house in Congress.

“But there’s no guarantee that will actually happen.

“So the current announcement is only a drop in the bucket of what Ukraine is fundamentally going to need as the conflict drags on.”

  1. This looks like five minutes worth of watching. Hang on a sec, (as the patronising geeks on Google like to say). I'll be back.

Yeah, well, a bit of a disappointment, but aren't they all thesedays? Now the first point in question is why would the Biden government want to 'shore up' financial aid to Ukraine in case they lose in November, when Ukraine is never going to find the resources to invade Russia before November 2028 anyway? Hardly any kind of decent investment, tyhjat one, if they lose the election …

The other point of contention is Finland, becasue unlike Ukraine, Finland is not some new kid on tha block. Easily manipilated by NATO. Finland knows damn well how important its relationship with Russia is, because combat on ice is not much fun at all. I do not think that Mr Putin and his associateds would be worried nearly as much about Finalnd or Sweden and NATO as he has been about Ukraine, because Finland has been there since 9,000BC, which was before The Russian Revolution. Ukraine nothing much more than a rainy day in Russian history compared to Finland.

It would be best if NATO aka the USA GTFO of Ukraine and then the Russians and Ukrainians could find peace, after Donetsk of course.

  2. So the orange clown thinks he can end the confluct within 24 hours without giving any details whatsoever. If he stops giving military weapons to Ukarine, but NATO will make it up .NATO won't abandon Ukarine. He said h e will stop every conflict in the world, including the conflict in Israel. Of course, he will give Russia and North Korea everything they want .The orange clown is simply unelectable even the overwhelming military personnel ,generals ,war veterans ,etc won't vote for CAPTAIN BONE SPURS .

  3. As ,much as I appreciated Trump draining the swamp and being someone I could actually understand, he is still one the hand puppets for the NWO & The Elite. Why wouldn't he close the book on aid, they've already send billions if not trillions in money laundering to their "United Elite Bank" THE UEB LoL! Nothing left in the kitty for us. Trump will simply start the the new system off again, whatever they might have in mind to keep us all slaves.

  4. If Trump or Biden walks away from Ukraine it will cost the US 000,000,000s in contracts for military equipment contracts being torn up, security treaties being torn up and countless export contracts being torn up by other countries as the rest of the world loses faith and trust in the US. Xi and Putin praise the candidate for walking away and their opponent will say "See I told you they supported PutinXi" and will at the least walk off with controlling the senate and congress which means that Biden or Trump especially will be impeached by July 4th. The candidates will be asked about supporting Israel, Ukraine and Taiwan. What happened to Trump's brag of "I will give more money and send more weapons to Ukraine than Biden"? Also poses the question if the us will not support Ukraine and israel then why have any troops based overseas, why not bring them all home?

  6. Here is a Headline for you Sky, the sentiment in the US is to defund Nato. And Uncle Don, may be on board for that with this latest debacle in the Ukraine….. And Nato members are standing up to the war mongers like France, the UK and Germany. Heard what Italy just said?

  7. I think trump would be forced into a compromise with the Uniparty and release some aid at least at the start as he try to end the war. Trump is not an extremist despite what the Uniparty claim. Trump is willing to compromise with them if he gets other things passed. The uniparty is too used to having their way that a centrist like trump is seen as extreme

  8. Trump recognises that the entire Ukraine scam is about the deep state laundering money back to themselves through Blackrock (who got a half-trillion dollar deal to “rebuild” Ukraine). Those same billions will be a central part of the Democrat’s bankroll to steal the election later this year.

  9. America stops using Ukraine as a proxy and Ukraine has to do the best thing they could and should have done years ago. Negotiate. They were never going to win the war of attrition, even with help from the West. It’s simply a numbers game and it’s not even close. 😂

  10. Maga has been against Ukraine ever since Ukraine took Democrats side on their failed impeachment of Trump. Ukraine got rid of the prosecutor as requested by Joe Biden then covered up the investigations into the Bidens & Burisma.
