Halloween was Jamie Lee Curtis's breakout movie

This movie was a confident James Cameron movie after Abyss and Terminator 2. Then he made Titanic, which I also liked. But after he dove into the ocean and came back up and made Avatar, I wasn't impressed with the story. Sadly, sometimes movie makers that I like just start doing things I don't like anymore. A bit of trivia. That was actually Jamie Lee Curtis hanging from the helicopter! That was an old roadway that Florida had decommissioned and gave the production permission to blow up! That was the guy in charge of stunts for the movie playing Arnold. There was a cable secured to the helicopter,running through his shirt, down his and Jamie’s arms to a harness she wore under her dress. The limo was to wired to independently drive itself off the bridge. As she was dangling, the helicopter just matched the speed of the limo and lowered her into the sunroof. As the limo went off the bridge, voila! Great shot!

In 1968 a race was held rom Trafalgar Square to Times Square in NY. A handicap race including all forms of transport (walkers to cyclists to motor bikes and cars, etc) each beginning at different times intending to arrive, more or less, at the same time. The last to leave GB was a Harrier. When it arrived and landed vertically in NY to the astonishment of the assembled crowds the American military were so impressed they immediately placed orders. Proud to be British. It was based on the Hawker-Siddley P1127, the first VSTOL (Vertical/Short Take Off & Land) aircraft.
True Lies was one of the best action films to come out of the 90's…period. And Bill Paxton was an absolute treasure in it. I got to know him very well since we both lived in the same city and we kept running into each other around town and eventually started up a good friendship. He will always be remembered, and always missed.
And if you ever want someone aside from your sister to cuddle up with and watch films with…I absolutely volunteer as tribute! 🙂

I'm really curious an AIM-9 Sidewinder is able to hold a person like that during flying? If it is able that guy must have had a blackout in less then a second… He could have felt like 80-100 G accelereation immediately, and reach 1 mach speed in 2 seconds. Surely died before the impact! That screaming was the most unrealistic in all that part!
