The Rick and Morty guy made a video game! In this review of Trover Saves the Universe I talk about how this game is a pale imitation of that great show. The comedy is bland and repetitive, with uninspired characters all making the same jokes and swearing a lot. The game itself is a basic beat em up thanks to its origination as a VR game. What's the best game based on a popular TV show or Movie? Do you have a high enough IQ to appreciate Rick and Morty?
Oooooweeeee quick in and out adventure! We're gonna be in VR! Engaging gameplay! Hilarious voicelines! Fixed perspective platforming! It won't get old fast!
We were about to buy this game but it didn't seem worth it so we didn't… Looking forward to the next game that looks funny, but I can see the joke becoming stale.
Rick & Morty has a much larger team of writers than I'd imagine this game did. Most importantly it has a different creator working with Justin Roiland, same goes for Solar Opposites which I feel has more the style I think this game was going for.
Ultimately for me I played through half this game & then stopped as I was playing with a friend's VR headset & don't have my own. I'll finish it up once I get PSVR2, but it really makes a difference playing it in VR as the game wasn't changed to work on a TV & depending on the distance your TV is from where you sit (& even if it's close) VR makes things easier to read while off in the distance.
I hate the way the controls are and the VR set up. I’m just not a fan. Also the humor def isn’t for me. I don’t think I could ever play this game
I don’t see why you hate it I think it was amazing the controls are clonky but other than that it’s my favorite game rn
I call bullshit on the 200+ IQ and if it is true, bragging about it like that is so pretentious and just not a classy thing to say.
