Hyuna did start VERY young not at Cube but at JYP as a Wonder Girls member in 2007. She later left a group supposedly because of health reasons but noone knows for sure. The Cube founder was a former JYP employee and he scouted her for Cube in 2009 where she debuted in 4Minute still at a quite young age (tho the maknae of 4Minute was even 2 years younger than her lol). Also no wonder you heard Troublemaker cause I swear every idol group covered that song at one point, be there serious or as a joke XD It was such a revolutionary song. Same with Now tbh, these two were just unstoppable, beating SHINee for throphies on music shows even. Btw dunno if you noticed but the Now storyline was inspired by Bonnie & Clyde.
I think that show you mentioned is not where you heard it haha, i don't remember the song they perfomed but I'm sure it wasn't trouble maker, i remember it was a song you already know, maybe from pentagon? Idk but not trouble maker haha 😆

Some people might give me shit for saying this. Every case is different when it comes to debuting idols at a young age. A lot of the times it's because the company doesn't want someone with a lot of potential going to another company. Current examples: Zoa from Weeekly, Dahyun from Rocket Punch, and May from Cherry Bullet. In the case of someone like Leeseo from IVE, she already has a skillset with some polish. She has a ton of charisma and has the drive for being an idol. Leeseo is a special idol who doesn't come along very often and debuting anyone should be a case by case basis. Leeseo was ready to debut and just happens to be very young. If a person is ready, they are ready, end of story.
Hyuna's story, she debuted with Wonder Girls in 2007. Her mom pulled her out later that year due to Hyuna's health issues at the time. She got better then went to CUBE and debuted with 4Minute in 2009. Made her solo debut in 2010.
Man Troublemaker was literally everywhere when it came out. It was a cultural reset lol. Everyone was covering it and the choreography has become so iconic. Speaking of, you gotta add Triple H to your forever tabs haha. 365 Fresh’s MV’s is one of my faves of all time . Also Hui being the nation’s third wheel will nvr not be funny haha.

Troublemaker was either the first, or the first time in a very long time, where a coed duo danced like that with each other. Everyone was obsessed with that song partly b/c of the "daring" choreo lol. And they really did kiss on stage once. I think it was for a year end award show. Now did well too, but Troublemaker is the one that really stuck around. Idek where you would've heard it b/c it is still everywhere lol. Cravity did a parody of it on one of their Cravity Park episodes just last year.

Troublemaker was amazing. Bith of them are. The show you referring too was my request. It wasnt the song Troublemaker though. It was a duet by Jiwoo from Kard together with Hyunseung. They did Dr.Bebe with a rearrangement.
Like I said there Hyunseung was a big name back then. If YG decided on 6 memebrs for Big Bang that would have beem him.
Troublemaker really holds a big part in my heart… I love their music so much, really sad it didn’t last long (but glad HyunA doesn’t have to do as Cube is told anymore)
Like I really love the sexy concept songs actually, but of course I hope no girls (and boys) are forced in any way and do it too young (sadly most of the old sexy songs are like this)
I still think they were the best duet in kpop history. Their chemistry was off the charts. No one come close to that honestly. And they were 100% immersed in their personna on stage together so it makes the live performances even better. I always wished we could get a special from both of them one day but I don't think it will ever happen.
Also Hyunseung was really popular back then, he was supposed to be in BigBang too but got cut at the last minute (he's in their debut reality show and he's still super good friends with them especially GD). He's extra talented, amazing dancer and super unique voice. He got into a controversy back then before leaving Beast (not something illegal just an attitude problem) and then CUBE kinda left him in the dark for years without any promo which is a shame because he's really good and an amazing artist. I would recommend listening to his song Home which is a masterpiece in my opinion.

Hyunseung was one of the least popular members of Beast, and CUBE wanted to make them a bigger deal on the charts. Knowing that Hyuna could have amazing chemistry with anyone, they paired her up with him because everything she touched turned to gold and they wanted to raise his profile for the benefit of the group. Mission Accomplished.
