I live in Bangor and I know a CAT 1 storm isn't a big deal for the south, but if the storm tracks more west it will absouletly devaste our costal communities. Additionally, We have received a lot of rain this year and the tree's are still full with green leaves, so there will be a lot of power outages and flooding.
Stay out of small boats….you will be fine….the sky is not falling.

I sure picked the worst two places to have a home: Cape Cod and Portland-area Maine. 50 ft of BIG water in front of me at one home, closest to the storm at the other. Will prob lose power at both. It ALL depends on the wind. In both locations: wind direction spells relief or dread. I'm going North, hubby's staying South. Wish us luck. (So, I get stuck with the boat issue? Oh yeah… my boat! 😉) Neither are mansions. One is a camp, and one is a tiny house. But they are ours, and this stinks. Hope ALL neighbors in New England are safe. Take precautions. See you on the other side of stupid Lee.

there really trying hard to make Lee sound like global catastrophe But I live in Southern Alberta and 85 km wind barely ruffles my head our normal daily wind is about 35-40 km wind but they have to push every storm to keep people paying them higher Taxes and that wont happen when you know normal weather
