The Light Runner car is nothing new. On one of the Tron trains in Shanghai Disney Resort, they have that car last the end of the train. I've been on it myself, and it's an interesting, unique experience compared to the motorcycle cars these Tron trains usually have. I only saw one train with the light runner car in Shanghai, and both platforms were being used. Maybe WDW will have multiple trains with the light runner car to accommodate more guests who need it.

Two different rides, granted – but I don’t see why Flight is so restrictive. The leg flaps and even the back piece seem to be overkill, the ride is not at all intense. It’s not likely you will be thrown off. I rode it many times and didn’t even hold on to the hand grips.

My Wife's back is almost completely destroyed; degenerative disc. Kept her off Flight of Passage, and she couldn't even consider this. So this addition is great, very thoughtful. Thank you Disney.

They do use those alternative seats in Shanghai for guests who can’t fit in the regular cycle seat. My wife and I got split up when we boarded and she was taken to one of those regular seats. Sure we’re a little overweight but we’re certainly not huge, but the issue was the calf with the metal bar. It was very painful when closed apparently. Be interesting to know if they are any different in WDW.
