Trims, Sets & Unexpected jobs! – SW Farriers Vlog 10

In today’s vlog, me and Luke visit a number of yards in the Bradford area of West Yorkshire, checking in on a variety of different horses from trims to full sets, and also an emergency shoe replacement.

We first arrive to check in and do a quick trim on Ruby, who was suffering from a flexural limb deformity. We’ve been seeing ruby every two weeks to keep a close eye but we’re extremely pleased to say she’s making excellent progress

Our second job was for Lilly with a full set of shoes, but her stable mate Ted who another farrier looks after had lost his shoe, so while we were there we helped the owner by putting another shoe on until Ted’s next farrier visit in a couple of weeks.

After some guilty pleasure doughnuts, we headed on to see Gandalf for a pre show measurement barefoot trim, Then over to Alexa for another full set, and finally Pedro the small pony recovering from laminitis.

Thank you so much for watching and supporting my channel! Please don’t forget to like, comment and subscribe!

  2. Love the bloopers at the end of the video. Luke almost got a french kiss from Pedro at the end! I find it really funny and cute when the horses try to get a nibble of whoever is next to them. ❀😊

  3. OMG Gandalf is everything! Could you tell us in future videos what the breeds are and if they're a sporthorse or retired? Like a tiny bio about the lovely horses as I'm always wondering πŸ™‚ I'm loving the show ponies. What's the expectation for Ruby when she grows up as you mentioned that she will probably always have a problem due to her condition. Is it something that with good care can be managed throughout her lifetime? Will she be suited for riding?

  4. Another great team effort from Sam the Man, Sam the Cam, Luke the Duke & Tom the Fun swotting at college. Not forgetting the raison d'etre: splendid gee-gees big, small & everything in between! 😍❀❀

  5. Does your back ever hurt bending over all the time? I know you condition yourself in a gym (I've seen from your videos), but doesn't your back ever get tired from bending over all the time? Just curious.

  6. OMG I'm loving your new truck!!! The LED's on the back tailgate lift so you can see if it's dark, that's awesome! And all the drawers and compartments for your tools. So efficient and clean looking! I love it. Major upgrade. I know you've probably been enjoying it. And I know it was super satisfying to know your job paid you back so you could buy the upgraded truck. Keep enjoying it!
