Tricia Duffy is a multi-faceted professional, combining roles as a songwriter, podcaster, public speaker, creativity coach, and consultant. She balances her passion for music and storytelling with extensive expertise in strategic business transformation.

Career Milestones

1990s: Early Career in Entertainment

Tricia began her career as Assistant Cruise Director for the Cunard Line, developing her interpersonal skills and fostering a love for performance and music.

2000s: Media Leadership

Tricia transitioned to the media industry, holding senior roles at IMG Media and BSkyB. At IMG, she managed global media operations as Director of Production Operations and Business Development. At BSkyB, she oversaw original programming, managing over 460 hours of annual content and supporting key initiatives like HDTV and Video-on-Demand.

2008–2012: BBC Transformation

As Head of Transformation and Delivery at BBC Vision, Tricia led organisational change for a division with 2,500 employees and a £1 billion budget. Her work focused on streamlining operations and preparing the BBC for the digital age.

Post-Broadcast Consulting

Tricia founded her consultancy, Lily Grey, specialising in strategy, change management, and conflict resolution for media organisations. She also became a certified mediator, handling complex negotiations.

Artistic Achievements

Music Career: Duffy & Bird to Little Lore

Tricia’s music career has evolved alongside her professional life. As part of the Americana duo Duffy & Bird, she released 5 Lines (2017) and Spirit Level (2019). During the pandemic, she launched her solo project, Little Lore, blending British storytelling with Americana influences. Tracks like Brown Liquor John and Normal received praise for their relatable narratives.

In Ten Years Time

In 2020, Tricia launched In Ten Years Time: How to Live a Creative Life, a podcast offering practical advice and long-term strategies for creativity. By 2024, the project expanded into workshops and keynotes, earning a Women in Podcasting Award for Arts and Design.

Current Endeavours

Tricia is pursuing an MA in Songwriting at ICMP while continuing her podcast, Little Lore music project, and leadership with the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI). As a speaker and workshop leader, she encourages audiences to pursue creative goals through small, consistent actions.
