TRENCH CRUSADE: Lore + Rating All Faction Units

Rare do things “shock” me especially when it comes to miniatures and artwork BUT in the case of Trench Crusade, none can hold a demonic candle to this alternate world.

When’s the last time you were honestly shocked by a miniature? Like, mouth-wide-open, double-take shocked? Well, buckle in, folks, because Trench Crusade just casually dropped the grossest (and most utterly brilliant) models I’ve ever seen. Seriously, you’ll need a strong stomach and maybe a barf bag, or, at least, some popcorn.

In my latest video, I examine every single unit: nuns with permanent scoliosis from their brutal armor, blind sniper priests somehow hitting their mark with *faith alone,* and flesh shields (yep, you read that correctly). And I’m not even scratching the surface of nonsense like maggot-covered knights and bow-armed horrors that would make even Great Unclean Ones say, “Uh, I’m good, thanks.”

Every unit? Unsettling. Every sculpt? Masterful madness. If loving this blasphemous, blood-soaked game is wrong, then Khorne help me, I don’t want to be right.

  6. Should probably put a disclaimer that the "lore" you tell about the minis is what you make up by looking at them and not the actual lore. Might be confusing for someone that has no previous knowledge.

I love that Trench Crusade takes the strict Games Workshop tournament rules of 'you must use GW models n have no kitbashes' and LAUGHS IN IT'S FACE LMAO Trench Crusade is basically antithetical to that aspect of GW, its all about creativity, kitbashing, creating your OWN unique look and exploring your own imagination. its a 10/10 concept and just look at how many people have already gone DEEP IN to the game n lore and the discord for TC I joined last week just has a TON of amazing models people have already imagined and manifested into a model. Love it Love it Love it.

  16. A lot of Mutant Chronicles and Hellgate: London vibes coming from this one.
    Kinda wish there would be a 2D- version to test the rules since those minis can't be cheap nor plenty to go around…
    20k+ backers prolly don't cover the cost of a very larger initial mini runs?
    "Mature" is something I personally am sort of worried with some 40+ years of experience in gaming of all sorts.
    Hype's real, though.
    Lots of questions, maybe time will tell…
    Havin witnessed oh so many "The Next Greatest Things" come and go does kinda turn one into cautious spender.

  30. Definitely see the Diablo influence to the art. Reminds me of the Diablo 1 & 2 instruction manuals back in the 90s (and Starcraft for that matter).. packed full of art and lore. Me an my friends would carry them with us to school in our book bags just to look at in class.

  41. I am into TC since day 0. I was waiting for that KS for almost 2 years. I have it, I almost finished painting whole Trench Pilgrims (there is even my Shrine Anchorite in the video 🙂 ) and already played some games. It is awesome – fast, easy to learn and with enough tactical depth to make me want play another game. The lore, art and the minis are so good that I already convinced into it my gaming group and new players, who had never tried any wargames got into this as well. So the bright future if for this game.

  42. The game is fantastic. Affordable and smooth to play. We’re on game 5 of a 6player campaign. My “Vessels of Ichor” cult of the black grail warband is kicking ass so far.
    Even though my corpse guard is now possessed at least my lord of tumors grew wings and can follow his idiot bodyguard easier now lmao
