  1. I played it on Xbox Series when they first put it on Gamepass. The art atyle and music was really good and I really liked the first three chapters but the rest of the game was boring and repetitive. It was a 5/10 for me.

  2. Loved everything about this game, just one huge problem, combat is killer amounts of bad, I had to stop playing around an hour in which I was devastated about, the combat is similar to aragami 2's combat clunk but in this it seems to be 10 times worse. Parrying has some sort of weird delay and even then its very awkward to time

  3. I've been playing this the past few hours since release, and while the story and graphics are great, that parry is killing me. It wouldn't be such a huge deal if health weren't so limited, with the parry + counter combo being one of the few ways to earn it back during battle, but the way things are, it's really, really hard. Seeing the "glint" on an attacker's blade (to know when to parry) is nearly impossible most of the time, and some of the enemy attacks are so fast that no matter how quickly I hit the shoulder button, my character barely begins the parry animation before being hit.

Overall, I agree with your review. The combat in this one needs a lot of work. For now, I've decided to turn the difficulty down to easy to try to make up for the unfair/clunky combat, and will try to push through for the sake of the story. Too bad, though – this game has so much character in every other way. The combat just really lets it down.

  4. There's so much to love about this game, but given the severity of the problems you described, not even a deep sale will be enough to entice me. The clunky combat is what kills it.

But if they patch up some of these issues, then maybe.
