Now, players are finally seeing the lockbox mechanic and the rewards connected to it that require a desealing rod to open. But, is it worth it? is STFC going too far? At level 49, I looked at the lockbox and the only thing I would buy it for is the optical diodes. Being able to upgrade my Treasury maybe 15-20 levels, would be great for the mining and PC bonuses. Other than that, I do have other packets that give me more G4. And a lot more parasteel, which is definitely needed. Doesn’t mean I’m going to spend $100, just that I decided it’s not the best way to spend my money. I’ve been told by some lower level alliance members, their lockboxes do have more G4 than their other packs.
The issue is that the whales now have another way to buy even more resources and get further ahead.
Need a free to play maybe get a better way to get keys maybe a key for every 2/14 day dailies grind and need 2 14 dailies and get to open lock box

I'm FINE with treasury as is. Mostly items with one-time consumable use.
I refuse to spend $100 on this game so the treasury is a waste of space for me. Super annoying I can't make the ready button go away!

The treasury is garbage. For the avg player, these boosts could have been accomplished through research and Scopley could have just offered a "MEGA PACK" once a month. Instead, now I have to look at a game pack taunting me every time I log in. I completed the grind already, but now I have to stare at this juicy pay pack every time I log in to grind their next event. This is super frustrating. Reminds me of Game of War and how much they pushed their pay to play
Why does scopley charge Australians %150 percent more then America???? Look at the international currency exchange rates.
I am not f2p and currently ranked 41 on our server and I've spent a fair bit of money on this game over the last 2+ years (not whale money but not peanuts either) and yet the contents of my treasury 'pack' don't seem to be as good as the normal packs in the pay store. I'm struggling to see the point of this 'treasury pack' if it's offering poorer value than existing pay store packs?
At 3:35 min you summed it up it’s another pack and that’s why so many people are angry, if scopley want to sell packs fine but add it to the store and don’t add it to another structure of the game, and to grind for It is a slap in the face even if it was easy, hey I’ll be honest if it was grind 700 hostiles and pay £5/10 1000’s of players would probably moan but still buy it, including myself. We have guys in our alliance who spend 100’s a month and are refusing to buy this
For me it’s $100. I’m not paying that for the rewards that it offers. It’s just not worth it in my opinion. $20 a month for a battlepass option is reasonable to me but THIS just is not. I do like the idea that others have mentioned about including rods in a battle pass. Collecting enough rods after buying 3 or 4 battle passes and then getting a “bonus” unlock of the treasury would be nice. But by itself and $100 each month? Nope. Not happening.
$100 for my treasury unlock…not worth it.

Mate, Scopely's deal is just too good to be true.
This is a poor mechanic that should not be put in the players face constantly. They already have a store, that is where it should have been placed.
F2P would be nice, or variable pricing so you can choose what you spend and can directly see the impact the next tier up would be. Might spend $5, not spending $100. But if options for $5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 were presented, someone might make the jump from 10 to 20 because rewards are that much better

Why not add a rod to the monthly chest. It requires people to complete dailies to get it, and not everyone gets a monthly chest each month. So the return could be longer for some. They definitely need a ftp option.
And that is a joke for the cost of the rods. The algorithm crap is bogus cause in our alliance we had several different prices and some of them was from people who do not buy anything having lower prices for the rods
Yep, treasury key part sucks. Passive bonuses from the building are great tho. And you're right, kids are expensive but also time and energy consuming… but so worth it, good luck ;P

okay hold on, so is the cost of the rod going to change from event to event? if that is the case where sometimes its say 5 dollars and sometimes its 100, whats stopping us from buying it when its 5 dollars and waiting till we get a 100$ pack to use that desealing rod? unless you lose the desealing rod after the liquidators come.
While the cargo and mining features are nice, I am not spending $100 to buy a rod to open the vault. I usually buy the monthly event, so I think they get enough money from me already! There needs to be a cheaper or free option for this vault.

Maybe a dumb question, but what are "Broken Desealing Rod"? The discribtion says that it can be exchanged for a Desealing Rod. But that the "free route" and the only way to open it is paying Scopely to open it?

I think it's pretty ridiculous that at lvl 27 I have to pay the same amount as a lvl 45… definitely not worth it, I might pay the $160 if there was an enterprise in there lol

Everyone I've talked to or heard complaining about the treasury has said it's not worth it. Mine has x10 pike and Id like to get him. But the rest is meh. I could use some X4 material but the only option is x3. I have a few research that requires X4 and I can't get to any without buying. Why do I have research that's ready to upgrade but nothing to upgrade it with? Sometimes I think the designers are brilliant other times I'd like to slap them on the head
