  1. Always love mail day. People find the most amazing stuff. It really stopped and made e think when you held that star of photos and said, "It's a whole life!" I wonder how much driving more than an hour or two would eat into your profits, given gas costs now? Still, it is fun to go day-tripping or even overnight. Are you taking your P-burg jacket to Yellowstone? Hope each Mail Day and the responses to every video convince you that you are making good content and that people really enjoy your "show." And it is a show. As we all know from Netflix now, half-hour shows are only 18 minutes. So if that's a show . . .

  2. I was told that when my great-grandfather died they had a dumpster out front and a lot of old family photos went into it. My dad, who is very interested in family history, was made aware too late and only managed to salvage a few things out of the house. I hate to think what was thrown out. My great-grandfather worked on a farm in his youth, joined the National Guard to go after Pancho Villa, then was a machine-gunner in the trenches during WW1. When he came home he got a job as a fireman. He probably had a lot of stories to tell.

  3. Can't miss a mail day. So many amazing things. An old friend of mine and myself are going trash picking tomorrow. Last two times I went, I didn't find much but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this trip. Two sets of eyes are better then one.

  4. I found those Alice beanies at a yard sale that had every beanie baby ever made. Their aunt had passed away and the collection took up their entire driveway. I had never seen so many beanie babies in my life. They were kinda bummed they weren't worth a great deal as a collection but people were happy to purchase their favorite themed ones. When I saw all the Alice collection I was hoping you hadn't received them yet and had to send them your way. And that moose was just too darn cute not to send you as well. I hope you had a wonderful birthday month!!!

  6. Sometimes there is no family. or no family that cares about those things. To you it's incomprehensible, but with no children, grandchildren, nieces or nephews, eventually someone will have to clean out the bookcases & drawers. Don't be sad. They will have served their purpose and brought joy to the people who loved them. But I will say I'm glad there are kind & lovely folks like you who appreciate them. β€πŸ™βœ

  7. That’s funny I always call the skizzers too. My daughter who works in a pharmacy once asked where the skizzers were. He co-workers looked at her like she was crazy! I also hope you find another trash bag house. Fun stuff.

  8. Isn't that like many things in our past, we see something, get the twitch in your gut thinking "oh my, I'd love that" but then we run numbers in our head, obligations and whatever, and decided – can't afford today, perhaps later, and later never comes. Glad you got the Disney plush now. Great day of great gifts. Happy Birthday month! πŸ‘πŸ€‘πŸ‘

  9. What interesting mail day. Your hair looks cute in the braids and must be great during the hot weather! Hang in there with growing it out – I’ve had to do the same thing but it was worth the wait.

  10. It's great to see the vintage photos saved from the trash. It's sad when people get rid of them. I always feel like I'm rescuing them when I add another to my collection. It's great the way you rescue things and give them a second life.

  11. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz? No, no…I enjoy mail days…much like I did during my stint in the army! I would travel a distance if there was a huge fr-g collection residing in the attic, basement, or between. Last year, I did miss one…had a commitment that weekend! Put your "P" on a sandwich sign! Oh, Renee, I have, in my past estate sale adventures, seen so much family history end up in dumpsters. This was long before I started viewing youtube! That's why I sent you those vintage cards from my past. My last direct family member is in hospice…she just turned 70. That's why I'm donating to that museum…no one to leave the items to. Your sure got a nice collection of Alice characters!

  12. I wish I had more old photos. But when grandma died my uncle got most of them. So he has six kids too so cousins will get them I'm sure. Thanks to all who save these wonderful items from destruction. And Renee I will never tire of seeing that smile and the sparkle in your eyes. You have a fantastic time in Yellowstone. Prayers for safe travels. β€οΈπŸ˜˜πŸ’žπŸ’žπŸ’žπŸ’žπŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸπŸ‚πŸŒΌπŸŒ»βœŒοΈπŸ‘Ά
