Trash collecting robot….worth every minute! First time watching WALL-E movie reaction

Badd Medicine here and its reaction time

WALL-E, short for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-class, is the last robot left on Earth. He spends his days tidying up the planet, one piece of garbage at a time. But during 700 years, WALL-E has developed a personality, and he’s more than a little lonely. Then he spots EVE (Elissa Knight), a sleek and shapely probe sent back to Earth on a scanning mission. Smitten WALL-E embarks on his greatest adventure yet when he follows EVE across the galaxy.

  1. I've always found the part after Eve gets the plant and powers down difficult. Specificly what Wall:E does after he's tried to wake Eve up useing sunlight. Eve is unconcious and Wall:E is dragging them around to various "romantic" situations, trying to hold hands etc.
It's always bothered me that at that point in the story Wall:E doesn't yet know if Eve is interested in that kind of relationship, but just goes ahead and does it anyway. I get that Wall:E is lonely, but it still fells like icky behaviour to me.

  2. there is a short on the DVD about the robot that gets locked out when Wall-E is flying around the ship. BTW Pixar is not disney and disney is not pixar. one owns the other but they are completely different studios, both physically and philosophically. And did you say the minions was Pixar? well no.

  3. Another great reaction from you guys! I love watching your genuine reactions and your genuine thoughts and discussions after the movie. This is one of my favorite Pixar movies, along with Up (which you also reviewed to amazingly!) and I am grateful that you reacted to this and shared your thoughts about this. More power to you guys, love from the Philippines! <3 And more of Oak's Three Movie Takeaways! Actually, how about you make that a segment, like everyone share their three (or more) takeaways from the movie? That would be amazing! Again, more power to you guys!

  4. I love your reactions and I have subscribed because I like seeing your discussions … I would highly recommend watching Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle and others from Studio Ghibli. The stories are amazing!

  5. what was best about this movie is that you knew and followed the story without the use of significant dialogue. really called upon the art of the animation creating visual character and action. Amazing the many levels the animation art can do. Not just for ids, animation is true art form

  6. I just love the message in how Wall-E didn't know what was happening with Eve, he didn't understand what she was going through, but he stayed and just took care of her the best he could. Our loved ones might not always be able to convey to us what's going on mentally or emotionally with them but it's important to be the consistent support that they may not even realize they need. (not talking about situations that would be harmful to either party, of course)

  7. 48:39 I agree that Wall-E does not quite reach the emotional level or maturity that Up has. There are some great lessons to take from it, and it is brilliantly made, but I think the lack of dialogue made it necessary to tone down the complexity.

That being said, I LOVE the way Wall-E manages to communicate so much without any dialogue. It's so well done, and the way the story still draws you in just shows how professional the team who made it is.

  8. Wall-E is a great movie and I love what they were able to do with so few lines. Another movie that I really like to that also has very few lines is Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron if you guys are interested.

  9. I have to say the simultaneous triumphant fist pump from Mason Quinn and the Answer when WALL-E got his memories back was first class reaction material and absolutely hilarious. XD <3

  10. I used to work in the kids' center on cruise ships. This was my go-to movie when we had very international groups of children because you can understand what's going on without dialogue. Anyone who speaks any language can follow. The story tells itself! It's also just so sweet and a great way to get kids interested in protecting our planet.
