Transport Minister on Limpopo bus crash



Transport Minister Sindisiwe Chikunga reacts to the tragic bus crash that killed 45 people.

The crash happened on the Mamatlakala Mountain pass between Mokopane and Marken.

The bus fell 50 metres into a ravine and burst into flames.

Mamatlakala crossing is one of the deadliest in South Africa, I know the road, it has sharp curves and the last one which leads to the bridge is the deadliest, I wonder if the driver knew that road because if you don't know that road then expect the unexpected, there is another road from Botswana which is much safer than the Mamatlakala crossing, the N11, Mamatlakala crossing is even feared by locals there, I have relatives there
