  1. I liked Ethan Hawke in Lord of War. Not a big part, but he was great.

There's some other older films he was in that were good. Can't remember them off the top of my head. I'm sure others in the comments will drop them

  2. Denzel’s character was loosely based off Raphael Perez, a rampart officer who was implicated in the death of biggie smalls. His crew was insinuated as rampart officers. You can really go down a deep rabbit hole with the LA rampart scandals too. Famous corrupt LA precinct.

  3. Remember when Lonzo asked Jake at the beginning of the movie, "How's your español? You better learn that." Jake should have paid more attention; he would have understood he was in mortal danger during the card game when Moreno told Sniper, "Que no," which is essentially slang for saying "psyche."

  4. Little known fact that most people overlook. The actor who plays Smiley, Cliff Curtis, isn't even Mexican. He's Maori, from New Zealand. He absolutely NAILED the cholo accent and could 100% pass in DTLA. Certified Foo.

  5. Another good movie with Ethan Hawke is "Alive" based on a true story about a rugby team who's plane crashed in the mountains in the middle of winter. Another good movie when he was a young child was "Explorer's" along with River Phoenix. & one of Denzel's first movie was "Carbon Copy" along with George Segal

  6. "It's not so fun when the rabbit's got a gun, is it?!" "You gotta put your own work in around here." Alonzo got what was coming to him. So many great quotes in this movie. Denzel and Ethan's best performances in my opinion. They both star together again in the remake of the great westen "The Magnificent Seven" which is a great movie.

  7. One of my favorite Denzel’s movies if not the most! And if you liked this and like Keanu Reeves then watch STREET KINGS, it’s maybe little bit too similar to this one but great movie too!
Hello from Puerto Rico guys 🇵🇷💞🇺🇸

  8. Ethan Hawke had a perfect support role for Denzel's psychotic performance. His act of confusion sold it. Another great ones from Hawke are the "Sunrise, Sunset and Midnight" trilogy spanning three decades.
