The New World gold dupe this time was by exploiting housing to dupe trophies and then sell them on the market. There may have been other duping exploits going on, but either way they decided to disable all trading and coin transferals in new World until they can get a handle on this.
Whenever news breaks about the New World trading situation I will post accordingly. I started recording this video 5 minutes after they posted this update and will continue to do so whenever possible for future updates from the dev team on when will the economy come back in New World.
Today though they talked about New World perma bans for gold dupers, how they affected the economy, voidbent gear duping, and their ability to track and punish people who abuse exploits like this.
There’s a lot going on in New World, and I’ll do my best to keep you updated with the latest New World news. Yet again we have an economy shutdown thanks to new World cheats / New World exploits / New World glitches / New World bugs / New World gold dupe exploits.
Also the New World dev team talked about hastening their responses to these events in the future to help preserve the economy and all that us legitimate players have worked for.

"too extreme for furniture exploit?" uhhhh major luck trophies/all of those are 10K+ each usually. if you saw reddit and some other servers they were down to 500-2000g when major luck trophies for example should be over 25-30k for each one. it devalues all the hard work that people grinded money for or farmed chest for them. it is a big deal
What? In my opinion those numbers are much much lower, there is so many level 60s and voidbent armor is insanely hard to get. I'd think it's like 0.1% with full 600 armor.

I wouldn't say they're doing a good job. They're doing a good job at making it look like they're trying really hard. Are they actually? Who knows, but i'm patient enough to get shit on by a dev team until the game is in a better state. Or dies.

Sorry but I know for a fact that multiple companies on my server duped, bragged about it, posted pics of it, made second accounts just to dupe with no problems, the leaders of these companies had other members make second accounts then passed all items along to the company. Even if the account gets banned, no big deal you still have hundreds of thousands of azoth and voidbent. It got to the point that they made another company with the alt accounts just to win trade because so many people ended up leaving.
Gold Duping and Items 24 Hours baned…my friend just buying this game for 2 weeks and only up he's gathering mining/logging/skinning/herbalism and never sell coins or cheating for anything got permanent baned…Dev Sucks!!!
1200 players banned is a small number compared to 200,000 300,000 players that are active. Plus, the players who duped used family sharing and duped gold and funneled the money into the economy or other players. It was out for weeks before they were able to fix it. I don't mean to be negative, but the numbers don't add up, and it's driving players away from the game.

The progression speed and spread of 600 GS gear/voidbent really depends on the servers. High pop worlds are more active in trading and mire resources are available though the market, making selling and buying/crafting a lot quicker. If you ever play on a low pop server or any of the newer servers you will see that barely anyone has voidbent. The economy is a lot slower and players are progressing slower as well, also less people to run elites with means less 600s. Getting to level 60 does not depend on population, GS does.

Sometimes this exploits its a good thing too because it could help the devs to fix some gamebreaking issue that would affect the quality of life in the game…

Take Xibalba server for instance.. 1 company had over 50 members in full voidbent on week 3 with 14million coin in reserve… none banned.. all still there.. they run/own the server.. they literally destroyed that server.. econony- pvp – wars- all ruined.. most players left.. we have maybe 190 active players during the day and 300 players max wartime.. and they are basically the 1 duped guild.. but they will be transferring to Valhalla with all the dupes or so they say.. they just vowed to ruin this server 1st..

I personally don't believe really much of what they have to say. It sounds like a corporate meaningless apology of please don't leave the game. They can only track items to a certain extent, they caught the duper but what about the legitimate buyers and items in circulation?
