still some stutters on the video but atleast it’s not irritating anymore
stage 1 is all a cakewalk including the boss, and gives you 2 danmaku weapons, each resembling the 2 protagonist (reimu and marisa) of the touhou series, and you can switch the bullet types by right clicking. kinda sad that youmu only has one non-spell and nothing else
stage 2, please don’t try to walk on water or you’ll fall off and die like a ⑨, other than that, it gives you an army of fairies like in EP1STG4 except you can satisfyingly destroy the army of fairies without having to worry about running out of ammo, the bossfight though, oh and komachi can literally pull you off to point blank range if you’re trying to run away from her, and the spellcard Death “Higan Retour” can be difficult to dodge at times
stage 3 gives you an army of fairies again, and the bossfight is a cakewalk, i dont even know why i didn’t switch to magic napalm weapon but then again, i played and made the demo on 2:34 AM
stage 4, the amulet fairies (forgot what it’s called) is pretty hectic unless you’re on a range where you could easilydodge the bullets, but then again you could force them to fly up by shooting them with a magic missile bullet type and becomes a pathetic crippled fairy due to not able to aim their bullets downwards, fighting satori is a cakewalk, and it’s final spell Recollection “The Curse of Vlad Tepes” is easier than on EP1STG6 due to how the map is designed
stage 5 has a pretty cool gimmick, the section which you have to somehow dodge a bunch of imp’s fireballs and destroying the demons is concerning and it really reminds me of pcb’s stage 4, and the bossfight wasn’t too difficult but the spellcard Youkai “Blazing Wheel” can force you to use the automap (unless memorized the spellcard) and strafe repeatedly until the spellcard is over, and the 2 spellcard which is Cursed Spirit “Zombie Fairy” and “Rekindling of Dead Ashes” is kinda irritating to get out of due to fairies existing but manually aiming at orin, ignoring the fairies and dodging bullets at the same time resolves it imo
stage 6, spawns some demons and concerningly, spawns literally one archvile, and 2 pain elementals, it can be a bit tricky to deal with them due to their ranged attacks altered, and thank god archviles dont attack you with their explosive devil magics that requires you to hide on cover and instead attacks you with a slow moving flame, and dodging utsuho’s spellcards can be a pain in the ass, most notably the spellcard Explosion Sign “Mega Flare” which sprays a fuck ton of small bullets that are flying at high speeds which im not dealing with that bullshit and master sparked her, and the rest (including non-spellcards) is difficult than the rest of the episode 2’s spellcards (not including extra stage and the army of fairies)
again, didn’t do extra stage on this video, although i played it weeks ago and it definitly is difficult if playing the extra stage for the first time, aya gives you a bad time by being a fast motherfucker she is and overwhelms you with a bunch of bullets going randomly, and there’s some cool and fun shit during the koishi fight due to how limiting the zdoom engine is.
