  1. I think the problem with Nurgle's buildings is that it just an abrupt drop. They should lengthen the cycles with buildings that are actually decaying, i.e. give less income, but not so harsh of a drop, mirroring what they were on the equivalent level of growing.

  2. Hi MA ! So… I did some coding and excel shenannigans and here is what I found regarding the Nurgle economy: For all buildings if they can go to the maximum level, decreasing the cycle time increase the amount of money you will generate (which makes sense because the highest level of each building as one extra turn before downgrading).. by between 2 and 10 gold/turn for each building. So pretty mediocre, but since you get extra units, it is worth it. It will also stabilize your economy as you spend less time in the very high and very low of each building.

Now, regarding the best money maker (without turn improvement):
    – For a tier 5 city: living tree of decay (273 gold/turn) > Plagueflesh poppies (220 gold/turn) > rancid aloe AND lesser garden of blight (189 gold/turn) > daemonic eggs sac AND all other infrastructure building (158 gold/turn)
    – For a tier 3 city: Plagueflesh poppies (220 gold/turn) > rancid aloe (189 gold/turn) > daemonic eggs sac AND all other infrastructure building (158 gold/turn) > living tree of decay (150gold/turn) > lesser garden of blight (125 gold/turn)

Following this, the main recommendation for ideal money is to have a plagueflesh poppies and rancid aloe in every city as a priority (only the plagueflesh poppies in port city). Once the city reach rank 5, you should build the living tree of decay and lesser garden of blight.

Also, interesting to note that it means that a maxed-out tier 3 settlement (3 slots including main building) for nurgle is 717 gold/turn and a maxed-out tier 5 is 1133 gold/turn.

  3. I find this fun to watch since (before patch 3.1) I had a nurgle campaign going, but only for like the first 30 turns did I actually care about getting money, after that it was more of "oh wait, I don't have enough for this" + I was fielding 2-3 good armies and 1 army made up of 19 nurglings, and 1 herald of nurgle (nurgle)… I beat 1 decent cathay army (it had 1 grand canon, 1 firework arty, a bunch of peasants and jade warriors) and with all this I had beaten Greasus, 1/4 of Cathay and a level 15 Imrik (who I beat with half an army of nurglings in Ku'gaths army)

all of this unmodded btw, so watching someone play with it modded (to make him "better") and still struggle and complain is funny, keep up the fun content man

  4. I agree the cycle change on settlement needs readjustment and fixing. Nurgles economy and recruitment/buildings are just shit and not fun… Even though nurgle is my favorite demon faction

  5. Remember the plagues, Crumbling ague gives vanguard deploy, reduces enemy move speed, and gives attrition. When I'm at risk of dogpiles i find it always helps to send some Crumbling ague cultists against the enemy and it cripples their advance

  6. TBH, the most interesting takeaway from this episode was that Wardens of the Living Pools have access to Lizardmen Rites, despite being a buncha weirdos compared to most Lizzzies
