Love the love for Cubitos! It was my #1 game for 2024 because my friends and I played it to much. Fowl Play is so worth it, you have to try it!
Pax Pamir, Root and ARCS all share a common DNA and have fantastic player interaction. Pax is also a engaging history lesson.
It seriously is such an endorsement for Distilled that you love it without ever drinking alcohol, the process of removing the top and bottom is usually called heads and tails. Scythe is def the "threat of fighting" game lol nice description. Unmatched was ONE away from being a true crossover. Still loving following along with all these, Jeff stop looking at her list!
I am desperatly waiting for the Confrontation remake. That one is a must buy for me, I think I will really like it… dare I say… even more than Duel for Middle Earth which I think it's ok-ish… it's a good game but a meh LOTRs one 🙃
I decided to use pub meeple as well and I can now see that the difference between a 6 and a 25 is really not that much. All the games are so good. Tapestry is in my top 10!

I would love to see a play through of Stamp Swap. I've almost played it solo a couple of times at my FLGS and then the group I was waiting for to play other stuff finally showed up.
My brother is bringing Wingspan to our family vacation the end of March and I can't wait to play a physical copy of the game and have someone show me what I'm missing. I've tried it a few times on BGA and just don't get it.
I am SO GLAD that I'm not the only one who gets crushed is Castles of Burgundy and yet still loves the game. 🙂
I want to like Anachrony SO MUCH but somehow I just don't get it on BGA (same way I don't get Wingspan). Viticulture is in my top 10 games.
And some day, I hope to get a copy of Obsession. It's implemented really well on BGA and I enjoy it so much!

Also, Obsession keeps intriguing me more and more. Is it solo-able? Is it on BGA? I remember it being fairly pricey game so it would be nice to try before buy
Expeditions might be my favorite game of all time. The card play is so interesting to me and tickles my brain just right. I’d love to see content on it from you guys!

re: villainous, i think with any game if you play it too much it can feel old. i got that way with lets go to japan, its probably my top game of the year but we played it SO much it started to feel stale. so ive been giving it a break and playing other things. love the list!

Another great list. I have castles of burgandy and distilled on the shelf, but still haven't played them. I love cubitos and not enough people talk about it. Interesting to hear there is an expansion, I will have to check that out.

Villainous dropping is understandable. If you don’t get it to the table plus other great games coming out too.
We implemented using the fate token in 1v1 match ups too. Levels it out for some villains and removes the fate wars/constant resetting goals to less frequent.
We also select a pool of villains to draft from for a best of seven then randomly pick. There’s many ways to slightly change the game to improve it. Excited for the rest of your rankings! And looking forward to the villainous/dice throne tournaments!
