People seem to forget that despite all the talk about how bad the ACC's longterm media deal is, it's still averages out to be the 3rd best deal in college sports and they got an ACCN out of it. Ponder this. Maybe, just maybe not expanding and not signing short media deals is the long term best move. Unlike the other conferences not named Big10 or SEC they haven't lost any teams in over a decade. Their contract pays increasing $ each year. They have a 50% share of a network that is making more money each year. And in the world of college basketball they are historically the best conference. Even in an acknowledged 2 down years in a row they've placed 3 teams in the final four. And in football they have 2 recent national championships, an Orange Bowl contract, and 5 games each year against ND. Sometimes slow and steady wins the race.
Jim Phillips, Failed already by sitting on but and doing nothing after the Texas & Oklahoma announced their intention to move to the SEC. Unfortunately Jim will oversea a conference that is in trouble. Here is why Florida State University came out 1st with concerns over TV revenue from the ACC. Here is how much revenue FSU by its self generates $87.5 million a year. The 2nd school in the ACC creates $30 million less than FSU. These numbers do not include TV revenue. Or it could be somebody had to go 1st. I am sure FSU had consultation with Clemson, UNC, Miami. The ACC could actually disband or formulate around other schools.
The ACC has one foot in the grave…it takes 8 teams to kill the conference and with it the GOR. And remember, ND gets a vote. The bigger brands and ND go to the B1G or the SEC, and the leftovers go to the Big XII. With the Pac-10 also with one foot firmly planted in the grave, we will have 3 power conferences when all of the dust settles.

Hope you didn't want to stay long because this conference is a dead man walking. Tick tick tick

NC State a small school? Lmao they have the largest enrollment in North and South Carolina
Looks to me that the ACC members are realistic about what Phillips could have done and/or he has something working behind the scenes.

How is Miami a big dog lol? Haven’t been relevant in awhile.
The Big 12 is going to be disappointed when they settle for Memphis and Tulane instead of the four corners.
Not sure why the ACC extended him when the conference is so weak, the big dogs unhappy.
