  1. I believe the fire Ash of War does actually scale off Faith, I’m a Confessor and I use the Sword of Night and Flame, and I’ve put a LOT of points into both Faith/Int after finding this thing (now I’m on Journey 3, going for the different endings) and it’s incredibly good, the fire attack does a lot more damage because I have more faith points than Int.

  2. moonveil probably is the best one if you are going full mage. its the only one where you can actively use on melee range easily. going full mage, you keep distance anyway, so your moonveil is just there to basically stagger enemies that came too close. i do carry a frost stomp extra weapon for aoe, but going full mage you probably have an aoe spell like adula or carian greatsword or even just glintstone arc that easily disposes mobs.

going hybrid int however is a different story. dark moon is great if you can use it with heavy armors so you have a lot of poise.

what i actually think is essential for mages would be an extra weapon with bloodhound step ash of war.

  3. Definitely gotta find the Moonveil Katana!
When DS1 first launched, Sorcery + Uchigatana was my favorite build.
Uchi so I can predominantly melee and the bleed is a bonus with spells just in case I panicked or just wanted to kill stuff.

  4. Hoarfrost Stomp is class agnostic. In fact, I kind of hate it on my Sorcerer because it makes every other spell worthless on trash outside of Glintstone Pebble when it's just a solitary low health enemy. Hoarfrost simply does way too much damage for such small FP it's stupid. It also shows just how stupid the balancing is in this game vs enemies. Too many normal enemies walk around like black knights on crack and will absolutely wreck your health or stamina without you having time to breathe. But then if you use Hoarfrost, they can't do anything ever.
