Gamescom is nearly upon us, and this year, as with every year, it promises new details on upcoming titles and brand-new announcements. The event will feature games like Monster Hunter Wilds, Marvel Rivals, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and Tarsier Studios’ next game.

Then you have Xbox hosting its own dedicated streams from August 21st to 23rd, showcasing new information Towerborne, Starfield: Shattered Space, Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred, and much more. The show floor also looks packed as attendees can go hands-on with Sonic X Shadow Generations, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, Crimson Desert, Replaced, and more.

If that isn’t enough, there are rumors of another high-profile Xbox title coming to PS5, with an announcement imminent. Next week is looking busy, so here are many of the big announcements you can expect throughout Gamescom 2024.

  1. I'm glad Paradox's Sims-like died and left others standing. Paradox would've done exactly the same thing as EA, possibly even worse, with the whole "selling you three digital T-shirts for $10" and "charging you $25 for a mechanic that should've been in the game at launch" nonsense. The remaining titles might still go that way, but at least there's a chance they won't, and those titles ought to do better with less competition which could further incentivize them to skip the overly predatory monetization.

  2. I don’t get why you put DLCs, like, we already seen fking Starfield and Diablo, we know what they are lol, I’m looking forward to new things or remakes, like Crimson Desert, Dragon Ball, Fable, Indiana Jones, the Wonder Woman game (possibly), maybe Project The Perceiver…
