I've only seen Planet Terror, Re-Animator, Day Of The Dead, Zombieland, Braindead I call I have British origins sorry North Americans, Shaun Of The Dead, The Return Of The Living Dead, 28 Days Later, Dawn Of The Dead and Night Of The Living Dead. My top 5 Dawn Of The Dead, Night Of The Living Dead, Shaun Of The Dead, 28 Days Later and Day Of The Dead. My least favourite is The Return Of The Living Dead
This list is a joke. Theres no better zombie movie than Dawn of the Dead 1978.
well no resident evil huh.
I dislike the trope of putting the "OG" as the best.
Dead Snow and Shaun of the Dead are my favorites
Important thing you missed to mention. Cemetery Man aka Dellamorte Dellamore is based on cult Italian comic "Dylan Dog" by Tiziano Sclavi. Even Tziano based Dylan character on Rupert Everett looks in comic years before that movie. Still reading that comic today after 30 years ๐
I wanted zombie land to be higher
Zombi 2 ๐๐พ
my predicition at the start, orignal Dawn of the Dead #1 or very close to it
Sorry, but The Beyond should be in this list instead of City of the living dead. COTLD is fantastic, but The Beyond is a masterpiece. Fulci is my favourite horror director and The Beyond is the film that made me a fan of his.
Thank you for including Zombieland and Shaun of the dead.
Jara?
Zombie films scared me so much as a kid. I was always on my guard if a I was in a cemetery. But it honestly scared me to the point I had nightmares. Now as an adult I absolutely love them. All the George A. Romero films are the best, Shaun of the Dead, Train to Busan, Zombi 2, Return of the Living Dead and Zombieland are may faves. Train to Busan is full adrenaline and then it guts you at the end. Like a wtf just happened. Lol so good.
Verses … nuff said.
I heard so many good things about train to busan and then I finally watched it and it is one of the worst movies I have ever seen
Fido is another that is super great, super silly and a good time
OK, I'll be 'that guy' and say it. There's no zombies in 28 days later. They're alive humans infected with the Rage virus. Once dead, they don't come back. They're infected, not zombies.
I was so glad to see "Little Monsters" in here! It's one of my favorites, along with "Anna & the Apocalypse", "Warm Bodies", and "Scouts Guide". OK, so I like my zombies on the lighter side (although "Train to Busan" also ranks very, very high). I was also glad NOT to see "World War Z" listed, as I found it to be a snooze-fest.
The Horde really deserves to be included on this list at least as an honourable mention.
aww hell no! Zombies that run and can use weapons? I'd be dead in 5 minutes ๐
This is a cool list. The original "Night of the Living Dead" is proof that a big budget is not necessary in making a legendary movie. BTW, you forgot "Night of the Creeps".
Resident evil films or wwz but 2 i did like as well was daylights end and beyond the call to duty
Iโm not a huge horror movie fan but I have seen a few zombie movies. Zombie land, I Am Legend, I Zombie, Maze Runner: The Scorched Trials and The Death Cure. I usually end up crying in zombie movies watching people and animals go insane and deadly trying to hurt or kill their loved ones is always so gut wrenching to me especially when the friends and families have to kill their infected loved one. Zombie movies unless theyโre purposely funny like Zombieland or Shawn of the Dead always make me cry.
You forgot to put the film Outpost which is a zombie film tut tut
I wish Diary of the Dead and the remake of Dawn of the Dead would have made it.
