Mortal Kombat is the original of the violent blood and guts video game genre. All of the other games since, are its children and grandchildren and so forth.

Madworld was the greatest nintendo Wii game ever to me. And if they ever made another one I'd play it again lol. I don't know why they stopped lol

Currently at Manhunt. Callisto Protocol has to be on here. Also banned in Japan. Edit- It’s not.

How did Callisto Protocol not make this list? That game literally got banned in Japan for its level of extreme violence. While the quality of the game is subjective, its level of blood and gore is not.
The narrator Callum looks like the guy who's going to be cancelled in a year for sexual assault of a woman who didn't want to sleep with him.

Smash TV required you to kill literally everyone who came out, to beat it you needed to waste the population of a decent sized city. By number of deaths alone promulgated by a single person without using a nuke or blowing up the Death Star, Smash TV is unparalleled.
They didn't include hatred released in 2015. A video game based on mass shooting. Hands down, most violent game ever

How can The Lady of Us be so low ? The first was already bloody as hell, but Part 2 is simply beyond in any levels. Dismemberment is not even the worst.

11-19-23 marks the 20th anniversary of rockstar’s most infamous game, MANHUNT. I remember that game and it’s sequel scaring the HELL out of me when I was a kid. Here’s hoping rockstar game’s makes a Third game some day🙏🤞🏼🙏🤞🏼🙏
no soldier of fortune. its a top 5 game at least. u clear a room with a shotgun with no overkill. it looked like a resident evil scene. a sniper shot to the head and u could see their brains. mortal kombat is the number one spot. as it was the first game ever with a M rating.
It's an unofficial fan mod, so it probably wouldn't be included, but honestly, I'm a little surprised Brutal Doom wasn't at least mentioned in the Doom entry.
This list sucks. And I would've added Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse.
I'd put the Quake and Suffering series in honorable mentions. Aside from that this is a solid list.
Phantasmagoria, My first play through lasted less than 10 minuets…I refused to move the book sitting on the chest…I have seen waaaay too many horror movies to fall for that tired trope. Of course in order to get My monies worth from the game, I had to remove it to continue the plot.
The name of the other FMV game I enjoyed was Gabriel Knight, there was a scene later in the game where SPOILER a werewolf's claw scrapes across a bunch of bones/skulls that made Me jump out of My chair.
