  2. I have coffee cups from Denny’s that have a smiley face on them . If the coffee is hot the face is yellow and if it’s cold the face turns blue. Any idea what they are worth?

  3. My mother left me over a thousand funny mugs. I know Johnny Carson and Snoopy are there. I will have to pull them out from storage and check them. Great video. Thanks.

  4. To the untrained eye check the markings, there are plenty of knock-offs and re-issues out there. It's a hot market and retro style mugs always end up in thrift stores.

  5. I just found your channel and subscribed. I have now gained some useful knowledge for the next time I go thrifting. One thing though, would you please increase the volume on your video? Thanks.

  6. When buying coffee cups, weight is everything. So don't make the mistake of buying those lightweight coffee cups because they chip very easily. Rae Dun and World Market is the exception because they are highly collectable. Fine China coffee cups can be hit and miss but there is always someone out there looking to replace a broken cup/ mug from a set that is no longer produced.
Plus it's so much fun to go Coffee mug hunting. Also Whiskey glasses can be profitable and the heavier the glass the better. If they have graphics on them make sure they are not scratched condition is everything. I have seen brand new sets that were never used at Goodwill, most likely displayed and someone decided to donate them.

  7. Back in the 1970s, my favorite mug came from a Marathon gas station up in Ohio. They had a promotional tie in with Johnny Hart and his BC comic strip. Milk glass with a D handle. Mine had BC himself on the mug. Examples on Ebay only display the Grog character and they're fifteen, twenty dollars. I wonder what the BC character mug's value is when it shows up for grabs.

  8. Great video, I always go to Estate sales and what not and never bothered looking at mugs unless they were something that I recognized as trendy or from the 80's or 90's.

  9. The Mugs at 6 minute and 50 seconds. I got from a yard sale as a gift from owner to take her rice cooker home. upon cleaning them up I dropped one but caught it pronto on its descent to the concrete garage floor.
