Great list! one of the most underrated monster franchises is 100% the Critters franchise. Sure, it got worse and the reboot is horrible, but the first 2 are great movies!
Because of Thriller, I can’t watch An American Werewolf in London…. The designs/transformations of the wolves really get to me.

The reason Jaws is number one is because that movie is responsible for so many people being deathly afraid of sharks for no apparent reason. I've yet to meet a single person who's afraid that a giant lizard that breathes fire or a huge ape will kill them, but I know tons of people who are afraid to go into the ocean because of Jaws

I believe Jurassic Park shouldn't be on this since they are acting as animals from the animal kingdom. If you want dinosaurs that kill on sight, try the Carnosaur trilogy

I watched a lot of these movies but not all. Godzilla, Predator and Alien will always have a special place in my heart because I remember watching them as a kid.

You guys forgot about Pitch Black! That has some pretty badass alien monsters, too. And the horror does remind that of Alien, even if not as good or effective. But should at least have gotten an honorable mention here.
