  1. Didn't know City of God was that known outside of Brasil, it is a classic here not just cause the movie is great but because it shows the reality of many people in our country so its very relatable

  2. Soft power of Hollywoods Entertainment industry is slanted towards agendas. Facts and actual events usually serve as canvas for placing and reinforcing consent for political narratives.

  3. That was an interesting list, with some unexpected ones that I enjoyed, BUT do we really have to have every one of them be about men & primarily only war based?????
How about Hidden figures if going with NASA ones?
How about Queen of the Desert rather than Lawrence of Arabia?
How about On the Basis of S… (cencored word) about Ruth Bader Ginsburg's life?
How about the countless movies about Queens, Elizabeth, Victoria, Mary etc?
How about The Iron Lady, or any historical film with Meryl Streep in it?
    How about Suffragette?
How about "Judy" (about Judy Garland) & the other similar ones?

I find movies about women that are well done & accurate to be much more interesting than most of the ones about men, cause throughout school & my life, I've always heard men's history stories, but there's some fantastic filmmakers out there nowadays, making some really wonderful films that tell the stories of women, that we have not been immersed in throughout our history classes, therefore to me at least, I think these are much more interesting to watch, something new & unknown.

Very disappointing that you didn't include a SINGLE film that focused on one or more women in your entire list!

  4. Not defending Hitler… But he was positively delightful compared to Stalin, Lenin, Mao, Hirohito, and most of the Popes. He murdered less than any of them… So certainly not the most despicable man in history.
