Didn't know City of God was that known outside of Brasil, it is a classic here not just cause the movie is great but because it shows the reality of many people in our country so its very relatable
You need to time stamp these moving forward
Interesting choices: no Hotel Rwanda. Think that was intentional?
Twenty accurate films, 20 accurate War films should be the title, apparently nothing else happened in human history!!!🤔🤔🤔
Come and see
Again…13 Hours is missing
Another movie that could be in this list is- The Baader Meinhof Complex.
Hitler😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬
“The Impossible”, was written by Maria Belon, whose entire family miraculously survived the 2004 tsunami. She requested Naomi Watts play her in the film.
Soft power of Hollywoods Entertainment industry is slanted towards agendas. Facts and actual events usually serve as canvas for placing and reinforcing consent for political narratives.
What about the Star Wars movies? Aren’t those “historical”? 😉
Calling the Imitation Game historic accurate is offensive to the word history and the word accurate 😡
Both City of God and Come and See should be higher on the list
There are detractors for "The Imitation Game"- Max Hastings, "The Secret War". I have to agree with "City of God".
Um, no. Anyone who has studied the Apollo program in depth knows that "First Man" is full of inaccuracies and creative license.
I feel like the opening scene of Saving Private Ryan should get an honourable mention, it was apparently so realistic that veterans couldn’t watch it 😞
42 is a really good one too. It’s about Jackie Robinson and the abuse he received as he broke the color barrier of the MLB
Schindler’s List is the greatest film of all the time.
Gallipoli is such a good movie. most of us Aussies watch it at school. I love it
This topic is because of Cleopatra? 😂
That was an interesting list, with some unexpected ones that I enjoyed, BUT do we really have to have every one of them be about men & primarily only war based?????
How about Hidden figures if going with NASA ones?
How about Queen of the Desert rather than Lawrence of Arabia?
How about On the Basis of S… (cencored word) about Ruth Bader Ginsburg's life?
How about the countless movies about Queens, Elizabeth, Victoria, Mary etc?
How about The Iron Lady, or any historical film with Meryl Streep in it?
How about Suffragette?
How about "Judy" (about Judy Garland) & the other similar ones?
I find movies about women that are well done & accurate to be much more interesting than most of the ones about men, cause throughout school & my life, I've always heard men's history stories, but there's some fantastic filmmakers out there nowadays, making some really wonderful films that tell the stories of women, that we have not been immersed in throughout our history classes, therefore to me at least, I think these are much more interesting to watch, something new & unknown.
Very disappointing that you didn't include a SINGLE film that focused on one or more women in your entire list!
Judas and the black messiah should have been on here……
Wait, the imitation game? The movie spits in the face of everyone that helped allen. Fucking joke of a historical movie.
What about Independence Day?
Bullshit on first man
Ghandi
I vote for Das Boot
Not defending Hitler… But he was positively delightful compared to Stalin, Lenin, Mao, Hirohito, and most of the Popes. He murdered less than any of them… So certainly not the most despicable man in history.
First man 😂😂😂😂😂pls don't make me laugh ….we all know that they faked the moon landing!!!
Not including Waterloo was criminal
