Sage is one of my favourite characters, purely because her powers are so different and cool.

Wolfsbane once demonstrated while in wolf form she could see ghosts (something dogs can supposedly do). Obviously as a wolf she couldn't talk to them, but was able to see and interact etc.
Gambit also has a type of "charm speak". Most writers forget it , but it still comes up now and then.
