00:00 Intro : Join me for my Top 10 picks for the best RPGs from CRPG to JRPG to even an MMORPG releasing in 2023, these are the TOP 10 RPG RELEASES OF 2023 !!!
2023 is shaping up to be a big year for the RPG genre, from JRPGs to CRPGs to MMORPGs, we have quite a bit to look forward to this year, and I want to give you my list of my most anticipated RPG releases coming in 2023. These are of course my opinion and I welcome you to share your list in the comments down below. These RPGs are the ones I plan on getting on Day 1 and making content around as I explore and uncover what they have to offer. Please hit that like button like it owes you money, and subscribe for more!

00:42 Hogwarts Legacy
Harry Potter isn’t a franchise I’ve been huge on, but I think this is in part due to there not being a high quality video game release, until February 10th that is, when Harry Potter Legacy launches, this open world game based in the Harry Potter universe but long ago before the events of the books or movies, we will have access to Hogwarts, Hogsmeade, the Forbidden Forest and the surrounding Overland area. Able to make our own Witch or Wizard, this is looking to be a fantastic adventure where we can become a part of our favortie house, make friends with other students, and become powerful witches or wizards in a very captivating world. Early reviews are in and they are looking great. This is a title I will be picking up for the Playstation 5 and I plan on making guides here on the channel for the various quests and secrets, so if you are looking forward to Harry Potter Legacy, stay tuned for tons of content coming here on the channel!

01:37 Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
I love the Zelda series, it was one of the first RPG type experiences I ever had, and Breath of the Wild was such a great open world experience that inspired so many great titles, it really took the open world RPG genre and improved on it in so many ways, and even went on to inspire MMO developers such as Pantheon Rise of the Fallen. Tears of the Kingdom is set to launch on May 12th 2023, and I couldn’t be more excited. At the time of the recording, we haven’t seen much about it besides knowing that the world has changed, we have new abilities, we will be exploring places high in the sky, and it seems to hint at dungeons and caverns under the ground as well. My only complaint with Breath of the Wild was it’s lack of dungeons, and I’m really hoping that Tears of the Kingdom resolves this. But one thing is for certain, I’ve never been disappointed with a Zelda release, and Tears of the Kingdom could very well be the final HUGE Nintendo release for the Switch platform, and I’m all here for it. I plan on making a ton of content for Tears of the Kingdom as well, and I can’t wait to dive in and explore it’s world and story.

03:13 Final Fantasy 16
The Final Fantasy series is very special to me, and sure, I’ve seen their releases go a bit down hill at times, but we got the great news that Yoshi P is leading the charge for Final Fantasy 16, and this has me very excited. Not only does it look like Final Fantasy 16 will be much more grounded in fantasy and a lot less sci-fi like the Final Fantasy of old, but it looks like it is going back to telling a very good story full of twists and excitement. Also, after the amazing combat in Final Fantasy VII Remake, I have a lot of confidence in their action combat system, and with Yoshi P making this his masterpiece, you can expect a dizzying amount of side content to keep you busy for years. Final Fantasy 16 is building up a ton of hype, and I think this one will definitely pay off, and could finally put this Final Fantasy as a contender for Game of the Year. Final Fantasy 16 releases on June 22nd 2023 and it couldn’t get here soon enough. Looks like my summer is booked.

04:27 Eiyuden : Hundred Heroes
I’m a big Suikoden fan, and the makers of that excellent series are on their own making Eiyuden Chronicles : Hundred Heroes to be the spiritual successor to the Suikoden brand. And boy, does it look good. Amazing character development over the largest cast of characters you could imagine, this RPG has been in development over that past few years and is shaping up to be a major slam dunk for JRPG enthusiasts. Count me among them and I can’t wait to see what this RPG has in store for us with it’s beautiful pixel art brought to the current gen in glorious fashion. We don’t know the exact release date at the time of this recording so I think we can expect a late 2023 release, but I’ll definitely be covering it as more information is announced.

05:17 Suikoden 1&2 Remaster
06:15 Baldur’s Gate 3
07:32 Blue Protocol
08:21 Sea of Stars
09:06 Starfield
09:58 Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

  1. Bg3 is the only one im really interested in. Starfield could be good but it'll probaby take the modders a few months to make the game fit to be playable.

  2. There are 3 games on this list that I will probably pick up and play and the rest probably not. BG3 is the only one on this list that I will for sure get as I bought into the early access.

  3. Looking forward to Solasta free community workshop downloads coming this year. Solasta community adventure content has been really dope lately. It's like free DLC! The community mods are friggin good as well. If any of yall have Solasta, you should dust it off, grab the "Morrows Deep" adventure, and "Unfinished Business" mod pack, and get some good old challenging D&D play in!

I've was watching Filthy Robot play it, and decided to grab it myself and play with his difficulty settings. It's been so friggin fun. Challenging combats you have to really puzzle out how to overcome, again and again.

  4. I'll be picking up Zelda, BG3 for sure. Final Fantasy will wait until the PC port; I ended up buying 15 twice so I could play in high-def but this time I'll just wait; especially since I don't have a current gen console. Starfield I probably won't pick up until 2024 once all the bugs are fixed (unless they pull a 2077 and have to discount it early to drive sales). FF7 remake I'm also waiting on a PC port. I'm not going to buy a playstation.
