Nemeton is so under rated.
Bosk was super pretty but we weren’t enamored by the area control game it actually is. It was ok but in a large collection I couldn’t keep it. I considered keeping though just for the AMAZING components.

Love Wendy, she is so engaging, interesting, funny and explains things very well, when she’s not being interrupted 😀. Joeys a hoot and also explains the games well, he’s funny and has great stories. Karla smiles a lot and brought some great games I’ve never heard of before…I’ll need to look them up to see how they’re played. But very cool games. Hope to hear of some more. This was fun!!!
Atiwa, Reef, Wingspan, and Cascadia are all favorites of mine from your lists, and I can't wait to try Earth. I'd definitely add Planted to a list of my own.

I thought Sonora was fine but my family really doesn’t do dexterity or flicking games.
I’d have bought Ark Nova already but we don’t have the patience much anymore for games longer than 90 min. I did get Earth though and am super pumped to do play it!

I've played a game of Ark Nova at four players and it made me realize that having more conservation projects to work for makes the massive deck work way better. More conservation projects means more icons that you can use from the cards that you draw. I like it so much that I'm going to use more conservation projects no matter what player account I'm at.
This was a fantastic top 10. Really good trio! I particularly want to highlight how good Wendy was at "leading" this one. She is engaging, adds excellent insight to the other's picks, all of this with a nice touch of humour. I really hope she gets involved in more of these top 10s!

Wingspan – yes, the dice. They're too restrictive to be fun for me.
Nature I would define things in the world not made by humans. Arboretum is a garden – gardens are made by humans. I like Endangered, Cascadia, Canopy, Wingspan, Photosynthesis, Parks, Sunset Over Water, Evolution, Cytosis and if I had played them I would probably add Earth, Meadow, Dominant Species.
Bitoku and Spirit Island and Terraforming Mars are Not Nature Games.
It's a stretch to put the game in this list, but TFM has trees on the box and plant and animal cards in the box and you put lots of greenery on the board. 😛
Draftosaurus… Terraforming Mars… Bitoku… such a stretch… xD
And here I was thinking that maybe Kanagawa wouldn't qualify for this list because the theme was about "drawing" the nature… 😀 (an awesome game btw)
Moreover, we have enough good games with those themes to be able to make two lists: nature games (Photosynthesis, Arboretum, Evergreen…) and animals games (Ark Nova, Bärenpark, Zooloretto, Wingspan…), with some thematic crossovers (Kanagawa, Earth, Canopy…)
As for Draftosaurus = Dinosaurs games
Terraforming Mars = SciFi games
Bitoku = Mythological creatures games / cute critters games
I want that gummybear expansion for Bärenpark!
I guess my opinion of nature is too strict. Only Karla was true to the topic. Zoos… Not nature. Dinosaurs not nature. Japanese mythology… definitely not nature. Science fiction pretend colonizing other planets… Nowhere near nature. Farming and gardening not nature. With sooooo many nature themed games being dumped on the market how in the world does terraforming mars make it? If I watched this hoping for new ideas in theme I liked, I would walk away thinking there just aren't many games featuring nature as theme
Super pretty please fix the black and burgundy dice on the shelf. 3 and 4 should be opposite each other, not adjacent.

I don't think Calico is a nature game. It has an animal that can be found in nature, as can we all, but it's about one type of animal and some quilts.For Terraforming Mars, if there can be fantasy worlds included on a nature games list like Bitoku then there can be a game about the landscape and environment on Mars because at least it's a part of our reality's natural world. These would be great choices if you were lawyers trying to exploit a top ten statute. I'm not so convinced they're great games in the spirit of what a nature game implies, but I guess they all can sneak in on technicalities and the fun discussions they generate. …there's nothing in the rulebook that says a dog can't cohost a top ten list so I guess well have to allow it.
