  2. Apple's version of made me almost cry as a fan of William tell overture
    They couldn't even get a copyright because the copyright of William Tell Overture is long gone. Its been in the public domain ever since like the beginning of the 1900s.

  3. My favorite fun (?) fact about Lacrimosa is that Mozart never actually finished it. He wrote up until m.8 (which is what plays around the 1:17 point of this video) bc Mozart unfortunately died before it could be completed. Franz Xaver Süssmayr finished out the rest of it, the final Mozart Requiem in full as we know it is really half Mozart and half Süssmayr though there are other versions out there that have been completed by other composers. SO the commercials actually do Mozart justice by almost always just including the parts that only he wrote 😅

  4. i remember when the für elise mcdonald’s piano commercial first aired. i remember thinking it was so awesome as a kid and had the lyrics memorized. that and the moon man mack the knife commercial.
