The area around my hometown is where moonshine was made and shipped to Chicago by Charlie Birger, and was had been kept in our town's prison which is now a museum. My town still banned sales of alcohol on Sundays until about 15 years ago and you can't buy liquor anywhere except liquor stores. I still find it weird to go just one town over a see liquor in grocery stores and gas stations.
