  4. what about the fate of every magical girl in "puella magi madoka magica"? or worse, the story how the town iblu came into existence in "made in abyss"? in one of these these instances, the characters had a choice, while in the other, they did not. some other fates i can think of are:
    ganishka's life from berserk
    having your consciousness used as fule for the tower of hanoi from yugioh vrains
    aporia's life from yugioh 5ds
    kurogiri's origin from my hero academia
    petelgeuse's backstory from re:zero
