An AEW&C system, or AWACS, is an airborne radar system that detects aircraft, ships, vehicles, missiles, and other incoming projectiles from far distances. It also provides command and control of the battlespace in aerial engagements by informing and directing friendly fighter and attack aircraft. Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) units are utilised for conducting aircraft surveillance of both land and sea targets. Additionally, they often engage in battle management command and control activities. At high elevations, the radar system aboard AEW&C aircraft enables operators to promptly and accurately detect, track, and prioritise targets. It also helps them to differentiate between friendly and hostile aircraft in real-time, and at significantly greater distances compared to radars located on the ground.

India only uses IL 76 platform.. Radar , Command and control system is based on Israeli Elm 2085.
Its name is Phalcon AEWACs with Elm 2090 radar. 😊

Years ago I was on the flight test team of one of the aircraft in your video. We had a very narrow windows to fly, in the middle of the night, because unless we were very far offshore we caused a lot of havoc. Garage doors opening, alarms going off and RFI quite strong. Lots of fun.
