  1. That Mural is incredible!! Thank you Jordan for taking us to Tom's Stomping grounds! Huge fan I got to see him here in Atlanta in 2008…6th row!! Best concert I've ever been to. This was my favorite vlog!!! 🌼🌼🌼

  2. Really enjoyed this vlog, thank you Jordan I am a huge Tom Petty fan and a fan of yours as well. I have family from Gainesville, FL and been to many of the places but never knew about Tom Petty hangouts, so fun to see them in the vlog. I was in Gainesville a year ago for a few months visiting family and so much fun at the park.

  3. I use to sit on a friend's Grandmother's front porch, listen to Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers play Orlando Arena, Orlando, FL. Yeah, it may have been loud, but the sound was above par and smooth. She got to the point she'd call, 'Hey! Tom & Co. are playing this weekend, you coming?' We never went to live shows, why pay, when you could sit for free and her Mom brought us soda 😉They played there all the time in the 1970s. Image our surprise when they said they weren't 'famous' until the 1980s!?! They played all over the world by 1976 even!!! Thank you for sharing this with us all. Good memories indeed. ❤💯

  7. Depot Street! Really great original Mudcrutch song, that Tom & Heartbreakers never did record, and I'll never know why. It would have been a hit for any band. I learned of Tom last year. Broke my heart. Then discovered all his music. His really old Mudcrutch stuff had some real gems in there.

  8. Nice video. Speaking of murals, did you get to see the tribute to Tom Petty on the graffiti wall on 34th Street? There are 2 murals on that wall that are “hands off” and his is one of them. If anybody desecrates either of these murals, the murals are immediately re-painted.

  9. This is awesome. I live about 75 miles east of Gainesville. I've been wanting to go over and explore the history. This will be my guide. I have been to the location of Follow that Dream and know that story. I did not know that Felder is from there or the story about the fight. Wow! Thanks for this video!

  10. You put this video together so very well. Your narration is at the perfect storytelling pitch, easygoing and informative. The visuals took me on exactly the places I’d most want to see all while capturing the sights. I can picture Tom Petty in each location. You are very good at this. Thank you for sharing.

  11. I was there in 2018 when the park was dedicated to him. His two daughters, granddaughter, his brother and his ex-wife were there. Saw all the beautiful murals too. There's a Tom Petty Birthday Bash that happens every year (except for 2020 and 2021 – thanks COVID!), so I've been there several times for that. Home to Bo Diddley too. Great town!

  12. I was a huge Tom Petty fan. He was one of my favorites next to The Beatles. I remember when Damn the Torpedos came out. I lived in Southern California and I was in 8th grade. I loved the Youre gonna Get it album even more. I think the last album I bought was Long After Dark. I was not as much into his later stuff. Nice to see his child and teenage hood. I knew he was from Gainesville from many article I read back in the 80s.

  13. Tom Petty wow, I fell in love with him when I was about 7 or 8, my older brother was a fan of Tom & I was forced to listen to his music lol……I just thought it was so different & so relaxing…..I never stopped listening and when I found out he died I bawled because I wanted to meet him. Elvis became one of my favorites about 4 years ago, I started really listening to his music & reading about his life. I found out he was a number 8 like me & we're both a capricorn. Man, getting the small taste of the late 80's really changed my life for the best. Kids today unless they listen to these guys have no clue what music is. God bless! Happy birthday to your lady!
