  1. I just haven't heard of many of these new kid QBs that are studying the game the way Brady and Manning did. They were always watching film, studying defenses, thinking about the game for the entire season. No down time. No video games. Family is put on hold. I heard that CJ Stroud is in very early and one of the last to leave. He's doing well.

  2. He can believe whatever he wants but the NFL isn't as bad as the Crap the NBA has become: 7 footers chucking 3's, everyone shooting 3s, 0 defense, 150-130 shorelines, traveling is like breathing…

  3. The NFL has become the NBA. You're not winning anything if you don’t have a superstar. Or a star QB. As a Jets fan our season was over on the first drive of the year. That's the reality. Everything else is fake hope.

  4. There has always been, ALWAYS, only 5-7 good quarterbacks playing at once. There has NEVER been 10-15 playing at once that were good. If there was people won't be reaching for quarterbacks in the draft. Also, you need a star quarterback more than ever to win. Having a bad to average quarterback and winning a Super bowl like you could get away with in the past.

  5. There's a reason that the running game was so important in the '60s '70s '80s because they didn't have enough quarterbacks.
I have the opinion that if a team built itself up around a strong running game it would do pretty well. Maybe not when the super bowl but always be in the playoffs.

  6. Imo it's the offensive line play that has been at its all time worst Not sure if its because of the incredible athletes on the defensive line or is it the lack of time they playing together in the spring/summer because of the CBA

  7. Idk I think it's also shit offensive linemen going against fast, lightweight defenses geared towards pass happy offenses. I wonder of you had a decent, big offensive line that would just grind you out all game and let the QB hide behind game managing.

Around 2013 when the league became flag football, defenses were outdated, bigger and slower for 2000s WWF rules. Easymode spread offenses made every QB look like Peyton Manning. It's been a decade and they've caught up.

  8. The internet and access to quick information have made people forget that nothing has changed. There are always 3 or 5 quarterbacks that a top tier and the rest follow. Man humans have memories of gold fish.

  9. I don't know what Geo's talking about because Daniel Jones injury was not a non-contact injury!! His knee buckled when he tripped overTE Cager in the Raiders game!! Which was the play BEFORE dropping back in the pocket and going down without anyone touching him!

  10. This is why scientists invented clones. There's a real simple solution to making every nfl game competitive-clone tom brady and give each team 2 tom bradys a season. That way if one gets a season ending injury you still have a perfectly healthy tom brady to back him up.

  11. It just feels off because we’ve seen so many of the old guard QB’s finally retire and these new kids hardly have been able to prove themselves in the playoffs. It’s Patrick Mahommes and him alone. Everyone else has had their MVP regular season moments and games but then botched it in the playoffs

And then look at the spattering of QBs that did win the supebowls in the last couple of years that aren’t Tom Brady or Mahommes. It’s Matthew Stafford and fucking Nick Foles, 2 nobodies who just as quickly became irrelevant despite their superbowl glory.

  12. My other theory is that there's a reason good offensive linemen never get traded or moved ever. I dont think there are enough good offensive lineman in the leage to fill 5 positions on 32 teams plus the depth o lineman.
