Arigato!
so nice to see that train tickets are so cheap in tokyo… had to pay 17$ for a one way ticket here in germany ;_;
Kon'nichiwa, Kenchan – I will visit Japan in early March. I was not planning on buying a JR Pass in advance, but purchasing all my individual tickets for my 14-day trip when I arrive in Tokyo. Can I just buy all my individual train tickets in advance to Kyoto, Hiroshima, Osaka and Hakone together at any major station in Tokyo using a credit card? Arigatล.
i can't wait to come to japan and buy a truck load of super sentai and kamen rider blu ray's and dvd's
Thereโs just too many things to do there with so little time
Thanks!
Excellent information! Thank you so much Ken. What places are better to visit on sunday? Arigato gozaimasu.
Kenchan, I am resending this Comment I believe I inadvertently passed over Cancel and the Comment was cancelled.
This is a great compilation to help with my trip planned for this May.
1. The slide of the Yamanote line and how I could take a the Chuo line from the Tokyo Station to the Shinjuku Station is good advice. Then use that to get to stations that are either on the west or east side of the Yamanote Line.
2. Thanks for confirming a "walk" from Shinjuku to Shibuya / Harajuku. One of my day trips will be to start at Shibuya and pay my respects to Hachiko and walk to Harajuku. Then circle back to Shibuya in early evening and then back to Ikebukuro (where I am staying). Shinjuku may be a separate day walk.
3. The slide of attractions and how you can properly plan was very elightening.
4. Thank you for pointing out the Seiko Museum and Sony in Ginza. I was planning to take a day trip out to one of the two Seiko factories but the museum will be fine.
There is a 1-Day JTB tour that may take care of some of the sites I want to visit including the Imperial Palace, Tsukiji (outer market), Asakusa, Tokyo Tower.
I have made plans to visit Wakayama / Kishi Train Station on a 3-day, 2 night side trip. I plan to take a train from Wakayama Station (hotel) to the Kuroshio Fish Market (lunch) and then walk back through Wakayama and back to hotel. Your storage locker information might come in handy if my hotel cannot hold my luggage during visit to Wakayama. Thank You!
How about more on Ramen shops, Yakitori, Katsu shops?
By the way, is there a shop in Tokyo that I can order a Hanko while I'm there.
That's the latest update and thank you for sharing and keep these videos coming! ๐ป๐
Hi Ken Chan,
thank you for the informative video. I am planning to go to in March the places I missed in December, such as Gotokuji. Also realised the need to plan places to go in the day and night as you mentioned in the video. The day trip portion of your video will be very useful to me.
This is an amazingly useful video to plan our trip!! Thank you so much!! Subscribed!!
This is the most comprehensive and up-to-date travel guide to Japan that I have ever watched, and I congratulate you, Kengo-san, for such an amazing job! ๐๐ป๐ From arriving to getting around Tokyo, you refreshingly covered all aspects of travel and hey, they are indeed informative! ๐ธ I hope that others who watch this will find it useful and relevant, and, if I ay say, let's go to Tokyo!!! ๐ธ Keep up the fascinating videos, Kengo-san!!! โฉ๏ธ ๐พ ๐
Im so excited. Im going to Japan for the first time in April and all these videos are helping me plan better
Thanks!
Wonderful video as always! A suggestion for a future video would be the foods that different cities/regions are known for ๐
thankyou Kenchan ๐ค๐ค๐ค

JR pass covers all of the trains in Japan? Even the local ones?
Hi Ken, what is the weather there now pls? What is the forecast mid feb ?
I was in Japan two months ago and I honestly did enjoyed my trip.. I will be going back hopefully in October for at least 21 days to discover more about Japan..
Thank you so much for your helpful tips. I will travel to Japan in mid October this year and will stay in Yokohama and Sumida. Could you please recommend the must see places at these 2 locations? I hope to be able to see the beautiful fall leaves in Oct. Thank you again!๐๐๐
Thanks for such a helpful video. I learned so much for my trip in June.
Love it man!!! keep it up Ken! I always say your videos are different from the typical youtubers… they are always informative to first time travelers. i find it very helpful. it's the type of questions that pop in my mind. i'm still planning to to go Japan.
Thank you Kenchan, a very clear and informative videos as always. One thing i might want to add is that I read somewhere that you can only add IC Card on Android phones bought in Japan. So if you use your Android phones from any other countries, you canโt use this features. This is not the case for Iphone.
P.S. I just noticed that you got another 1K subscibers since your last video, keep up the good work Kengo-San!
Excellent video! I'd visited in Tokyo in 2004 and this video made me remember my time there. I loved Shibuya and Akihabara a lot. Greetings from Croatia!
Thank you this is by far the most detailed and Tokyo guide.
Thank you for this video ! My parents are coming to Japan to see me tomorrow, and I didn't knew what I could show them in Tokyo (there are too many things !!) ! ๐
A suggestion for future videos: different art forms/shows in Japan (–theatre, orchestra, dance, underground music etc) and websites to find the calendars of them. Or useful apps for travel, like free wifi locator, transit planner etc. I am sure Japan has many cool apps that are known only to Japanese.
great video, very informative!! ๐ค
very useful, thank you
