Oh, other cats CAN learn tricks. They just like it best when they are the masters, with us hoomans as the performers.
When I was a child we had a cat that loved water. My father MacGyvered a ramp for our pool so our cat could enter and exit the pool without ripping the liner.
In winter we would allow Ginger to have a bath or shower once a week.
Water is Enzo's Kryptonite, it turns him into a floppy rag doll 😆
i have a regular domestic shorthair orange boy who I've taught a few tricks! high five, sit, stand, spin, kiss! I think any cat can learn tricks 😀
Dear Miss Vanessa, Enzo is a Turkish Angora Cat. Cos Turkish Van Cat eyes one’s blue the other one’s green 😻😹
My cats knows tricks, three in fact! But she is a trashbin cat from the streets of Athens… Is that a recognized breed?
I've been looking across youtube as I had a white turkish cat once and to my disappointment, I can't find a single example of a turkish van cat getting into water and swimming without being put into the water, they certainly seem like able swimmers and LESS bothered by water but I think it's harmful to spread the narrative there's this cat that loves to swim when they do not in fact choose to swim for fun or enjoyment, again though they clearly are not as bothered by swimming. I just hate when people spread like breed propaganda essentially, its just gonna lead to a bunch of white patterned cats being put in water too often when its not part of their natural biology or nature and is bad for their coat, especially because chlorinated water or salt water is not good to leave in a cats coat.
I was obsessed with Turkish vans as a kid 😍🥺
I had a rescued kitten , who I named bean cuz he was so tiny, who grew to be a huge beast, but was so gentle and kind and loved baths so much I had to change my entire bathroom routine around him cuz he'd hop into the bathtub full of water whether I planned for him or not. He wasn't short hair, but he wasn't long hair like the cat in this video; kinda in between. If he got caught in the rain, the surface would be wet, but his undercoat was still dry. He had his own towel, and would walk around like it was a robe. He loved getting blow dried as well.
After Bean got his full size, one of my friends suggested he might be a Van or Van mix. I had kept the idea to myself but I was glad someone else noticed. He was a well behaved animal, he learned so easily, learned a lot of tricks and good behaviors that made him an easy housemate, he could walk on a leash, he would Heel, sit, stay, wait, release ( for wait and for taking his food bowl) and he came up with a few tricks of his own, including high five and "be cute". He got along with everyone, including dogs and he greeted every one of our guests on Game Nights. He loved cucumbers and insisted you share if you had one. He was such a good boy.
I would argue that almost all cats can learn tricks, but it depends on the individual and the patience of the owner. And yes, also the method used. Clicker training and positive reinforcement could be great methods for that. 🥰
r.i.p. to all the wasted Churus 😭
See, that's why we call them cars and this one is a van and turkish too. Confirmed autobots 😂
What kind of allergy medicine do you use? lol. I would be sneezing so much
I thought Turkish Vans were all-white and different color eyes?
Let's all chill about declawing cats. My siblings declawed cat is a loved, vibrant, vocal ball of sweetness at 19. It's not ideal, but then it is ideal. As long as it's loved, right? Love is love, right? Not to start a war.
A question about puppies what age can I give him and her a bath? There 10 months old now
Random comment here but I think you kind look like Chappell Roan? Am I the only one that sees the resemblance?
I think it's the hoodie that he has issues with, not the water.
Turkish Van cats don't just generally love water, they may also love to swim! A friend of mine has a cat that they recently found out is a Turkish Van or at least has Turkish Van in him, the cat is still young so not fully grown, the friend group loves to hear updates on the kitty and looking forward to seeing the cat on video call when he's fully grown. Turkish Van are also pretty loooooooong cats XD Turkish Van cats are so pretty, but if I was to be able to have a pure breed cat one day, Ragdoll is the breed for me! I love long hair cats (they're just so soft to snuggle with) and find it therapeutic to brush them, and with Ragdolls generally being very calm and cuddly, it's just a perfect breed for me tbh.
Enzo was a very good cat, and cute as hell.
“Bombastic side eye” 😂😂😂😂😂
Hi Vanessa! I love your videos and just want to reach out to say I saw a Youtube Short where someone took part of your video in the beginning to try and sell a product. The channel name was JoyPetCo. It seems like the short was posted today. I believe only the owner of the content can file a copyright claim, so just wanted to reach out!
What a sweet baby!
To the people who see no problem with declawing cats: you don't deserve to be a guardian of a cat, or any animal for that matter. If you value your material things over the comfort and health of a living creature, then you're also most likely the type who sees animals as an accessory. Just ew. I'm so glad Enzo has found a loving home.
Van? Cara?
love his copy-paste-d bits of tabby
Oh, he's a Van. Not a Car.
Cats can't learn tricks??? Man I should go tell that to cici
