ENGLISH VERSION: Today’s Bible Verse (27.08.2024):

VERSE:
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. (PSALM 121:1 KJV)

EXPLANATION:
I greet you in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.” (Psalm 121:1) Today we will meditate on the promise.

“Eyes up!” Yes, it is part of prayer to lift the eyes straight to the mountains in harmony. Prayer should not be thought of as just praying with the mouth. Prayers are looking to the Lord and lifting up the eyes with hope.

See how expectantly and longingly David says, ‘I lift up mine eyes.’ King David’s eyes did not look at the faces of men, the faces of officials, or the faces of the rich, seeking human approval. His eyes looked to the Lord who made heaven and earth.

David says that the mountains resonate with me. Note that it says ‘Hills in plural, not ‘Hill’. The Hill is the same. But there are three Hills on that mountain . Lord is one. However, there are three ways in which concord comes to you: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

God the Father is a mountain. Love, power, might, and glory come to you from the Father. When David raised his eyes straight to that mountain, he felt the glory, power, and majesty of the Father descending upon him. He knew that harmony coming from him would be a blessing to him. He says with great certainty that I will receive from the Lord who made the heavens and the earth.

Jesus the Son is a mountain. Grace and mercy come from the mountain that is Jesus, and His blood flows to you in six streams. He poured out all his blessings for us on Calvary. We belong to His flesh and blood. We receive grace and truth from the mountain that is Christ. Forgiveness and salvation are available. Redemption and liberation are available.

The Holy Spirit is a mountain. Anointing, fruits and boons flow from the mountain of Spirit. He comforts us. He fills us with the power of the Holy Spirit. He anoints us as kings and priests. Not only that, but He brings all the fruits of the Spirit into us.

Many signs today proclaim that we have arrived at the last time of the Advent. Therefore, as people who feel the urgency, will we look towards those mountains for the revival and revival of the nation? We desperately need the gifts and powers of the Spirit. Every believer and every minister needs spiritual gifts. God is also waiting to give boons.

David’s eyes were always fixed on the mountain of harmony. He describes it, writing, ” Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the LORD our God, until that he have mercy upon us.” (Psalm 123:2).

Look towards the mountains that you sympathize with. Some look to the man, some think that if they catch the ministers, things will happen. Others look to the worldly elite, the educated and the wealthy. They are disappointed in all these. But those who look to the Lord are never disappointed. Their faces will be radiant. They will receive blessings and peace.

Beloved, in whom is your trust? In the name of men? Or, by the Lord? In perishable things or in the name of a gracious God who is immortal? You will look to God!

PRAYER:
Lord of love! I praise You for speaking to me through Your Word. Lord, I look to you who send me sympathy. In all the challenges that arise in my life, help me keep my faith in You alone. Help me always lift my eyes to You, the mountain of harmony. I want to experience Your power in my life. I pray in Jesus name Good Father, Amen.
