Tobias and Lindsay Buy A House – Arrested Development

Oh ninja please

Arrested Development: Season 4, Episode 3 “Indian Takers”
Lindsay decides to explore community activism and a deeper spiritual connection with the world until she runs out of money.

Arrested Development is an American television sitcom created by Mitchell Hurwitz. The show follows the Bluths, a formerly wealthy dysfunctional family. It is presented in a serialized format, incorporating handheld camera work, voice-over narration, archival photos, and historical footage. The show maintains numerous running gags and catchphrases. Ron Howard serves as both an executive producer and the omniscient narrator and, in later seasons, appears in the show portraying a fictionalized version of himself.

The series received critical acclaim, six Primetime Emmy Awards, and one Golden Globe Award, and attracted a cult following. It has been named one of the greatest TV shows of all time by publications including Time, Entertainment Weekly, and IGN. It influenced later single-camera comedy series such as 30 Rock and Community.

  1. That time when AD went from sit-com to documentary. 😉
I remember flashing back to this scene when I saw The Big Short and realizing that the satire was less absurd than what actually led up to the 2008 Financial Crisis

Edit: Also, Tobias unwittingly admitting that he is a horrible actor is one of those classic AD moments you catch only after repeated viewings.
"All you need to do is tell people what a terrific actor I am, 'cause I can't do it believably. What do you say?"

  2. Uploading just one clip from each episode instead of the whole show is a really great compromise. Knowing people will be hypercritical of seasons 4 and 5, but also having an obligation to upload all seasons.

  3. 'The trick is going to be getting anyone to believe her husband's straight enough to have a true love who's a woman' — I didn't think any line could top 'You are a worse psychiatrist than you are a son-in-law, and you'll never get work as an actor because you have no talent', but this comes close.

  4. There are so many funny moments in this clip, but I always crack up at Michael's deadpan "I wouldn't."
Also, I'm so happy this channel exists. Still uploading clips ❤️❤️❤️

  5. Can I just say, thank you for including the correct version with the, what I have called, “superstar bit”, over the first picture of their new home. The “other” clips use one of the India bits – and it’s not right!
