In this episode, we are gearing up for a busy week ahead of us in the theme park space. Halloween Horror Nights kicks off this week and we all know Tim is next level excited. In the episode, Tim shares what he thinks will be his favorite houses. Will those stay true? We will have to find out next week! Next weekโs episode will also feature updates from the first day of Food and Wine Festival, which also starts this week at EPCOT. Tim and Nick share some special Hi Dad Soup moments and get into some other news from the week, including information regarding the new Island Tower at the Polynesian Resort as well as news about the upcoming Disney Cruise Line ship, the Disney Adventure. just finished the bonus episode and now i get to listen to this on my way to uni!!!
Good show, bad show, doesn't really matter. It's about ratings, number of viewers, and the viewership just wasn't there. It's an expensive show to make and they aren't making money off it.
Nothing about Acolyte showed where the $180 million budget went. The acting was horrible. There was no character building. The story was predictable.
We did the Central Park balcony on Allure of the Seas. Which is similar to what Disney is doing. Only noise we heard here and there was from the pool deck, as for the actual Central Park area, not much at all. In the room those ships are generally pretty good with keeping noise out. Now with that said the noise will depend on how the ship is built with the rooms and how "sound proof" it is, if that makes sense. But we're excited to see what Disney is going to do with that ship. The Oasis class is incredible with the openness of their ships, Icon however looks like its too much, but need to sail before we can judge that.
Iโm running the Disneyland Half too! After having knee surgery 2 months ago-Iโm nervous too! Maybe Iโll speed walk with Tim and Adam ๐ ๐โโ๏ธ ๐
In Europaparks hotel bell Rock the have also a two michelin stars, named Ammolite.
My husband watched Acolyte and hated it. I skipped it due to his complaining. I will probably watch it in a few months when there is less drama about it and I can watch it with a clear headโค
Kingdom Hearts is so fun! There are Final Fantasy characters in the game, it's definitely a crossover game between Disney, Final Fantasy, plus characters that are only in Kingdom Hearts. It's pretty good, though it is very long and there are a lot of games. Kids might not understand the story, since a lot of adults still don't understand it, though I don't think anyone needs to understand the full story to have a good time with the game.
Hi Tim and Nick!
Toledo Restaurant at Coronado Springs Resort Grand Destino Tower has been added to the 2023 Michelin Guide Florida โญ๏ธ
Great Podcast as always ๐๐ป
Hugh Jackman was Van Helsing โฆ Nick thatโs what you might have been thinking about
I enjoyed the acolyte until I got to the end ๐
12:06 Europa Park has a restaurant with two Michelin stars called Ammolite. It is at one of their resort hotels.
Hugh Jackman never played Sherlock Holmes.
You're thinking of Robert Downey Jr and Bongosmack Chickenstrip
Truly the writing and editing on the acolyte was rough. There were so many things I loved especially the battles, costuming etc but when the story is just all over the place, I think Nick said it perfectly there was a lot of potential in the storyline but they didnโt execute it well. Iโm sure this was thanks to the strikes and the issues of not having writers around through the shooting and editing process. Visually stunning but poorly written/edited
Sherlock was Benedict Cumberbatch, aka: dr strange
The main character, Sol? I felt like his agency was weak. The actor was good, his character was poorly writen. And the "twins" were too serious. It just didn't grip you. I didnt connect emotionally to anyone. I would have watched a season 2. But one of my least favorite SW shows.
Nick not knowing Jack the Ripper ๐ฎ
He has the cultural reference skills of a 12 year old girl.
I totally agree with you guys on The Acolyte! I was so looking forward to a second season ๐ข
Kingdom Heart is a Disney/Final Fantasy cross over game! So fun
Nick, I don't do gore. Never been to HHN, but look forward to the videos of it by Tim. Haha. It definitely has a place in my spooky season, from afar.
Thank for tracking us through another fun episode ๐
Y'all need a dad nap!! ๐ I just love you both and my Disney Wish would be ๐ช a Nick and Tim YouTube channel at the parks!! An instagram is just not enough, Nick. I love it, but not enough. Don't feel peer pressure Nick, just rest easy and say NO!! We don't all like that unnecessary, unforeseen scare in our lives, some do. I personally have PTSD and do not need that. Have a great week boys!! Hugs, Debra โจ๏ธ ๐ค
Maybe Iโll see you power walking half marathon. I signed up also while running and have stopped since and Iโm recovering from Covid. Gonna be a very long 13.1 miles.
Thanks!
I got my daughter the ps5 in July 2021….had to use my brother's Texas address since it was so hard to get in NYC then.
Between last night today and Tim and Jenns live today I've been on overdrive ๐
Thanks for just reading disney parks blog to us. Great theme park updates. Helios Grand? You're not allowed to tell people they didn't like it for the wrong reason. The masses have spoken.
Like Elsa ๐๐๐
I watched the Acolyte the whole way through with my partner who is a major Star Wars fan, and Iโm just a casual fan. We both agreed that we didnโt like it. Osha and her sister we both agree are fantastic characters and episode 3 in particular is a fantastic episode of television in my opinion. However comma, we felt like characters motivations were either muddy, unclear, or were revealed too late in the season for us to care. So it was hard to get excited and be engaged with what we were seeing. The villain especially falls victim to this.
yes, the Say Anything speech is great. the actual speech , not the Tim version ๐คฃ๐
Easy A is one reason why I named my daughter Olive ๐ซ
I think you might have been thinking of Benedict Cumberbatch .. who was also Sherlock Holmes!
Love you guys โค best dads ever!
I love โsay anything!โ All John Cusack movies! And โ breakfast clubโ was great too!!
I thought there was a new Restuarant in Disney springs with a Michelin star??
Really disappointed that this has just become a Disney podcast. Was really hoping that Tim might bring more Universal and other Orlando/Florida attractions to these discussions.
Next time you do B2B episodes bring a 2nd shirt ๐คช
Tim at 36:33 that flew right over Nickโs head ๐
