The owners don’t know everything about rare items, though, and they often call in experts in their fields to drop real knowledge. Sometimes, it works out in their favor, and a fake item is called out, saving them thousands of dollars. Other times, however, the expert flips the script. Here are a few times when the Pawn Stars should not have called in an expert.

Considering that the show was 100% fake, filmed in a studio, with actors in the background, I don't think it cost them a penny. The things brought it were usually real, actually owned by the "experts" themselves. Nothing was ever really sold.

I dont like them trying to rip off people who need sometimes desperately need money. But if they just want extra money then ok.
I don't get it. How much did they lost? No matter the price it was bought, the profit comes from the sale… so where is the aforementioned loss? If a valuation makes you offer more… nonetheless is a healthy practice when in doubt.

I thought this was gonna be a comp of instances where the experts were wrong and they spent money on what were essentially fakes or knock-offs.

Title is misleading af, makes you think the experts were wrong and costed the business money. The title should be something less clickbait and more like Times Pawn Star Experts confirmed Treasures
Apparently there are at least a dozen Holy Grail of coins, cause I swear Rick uses Holy Grail of coins for every coin that comes in,
